Pad for neck straps that are more than just cloth?
Pad for neck straps that are more than just cloth?
Does anyone make an actual pad for the neck straps that’s more than just a piece of felt cloth? My neck is super sensitive to the straps and I would like an actual gel or pad if you know of one. Thank you!

Have you looked at the Padacheek.com ones?

Pad a cheek's website says "if you do not see what you need, contact them' they can try to make something for you. I'd call the lady there. I've talked to her before and she is very helpful.

You could also try an adaptation of the DIY solution from this clever fellow.

My remnant addiction has provided cheap solutions for me.
When in any fabric store, I gravitate toward the remnant bin,
where I can find microfiber fleece, and even minky fleece--
often at half price or better, and in short, end of bolt pieces.
Minky is as soft as a freshly cleaned kitten, and almost as cuddly.

Baby tights might be even better.
The trick is shopping for the soft ones without looking like someone who should be watched very closely.

I make mine out of cut headbands (sweatbands), works well for me. Cut to required length, wrap around straps and sew together where required, leaving gaps for access to strap adjusters.

For those that don't sew, a stapler can be used, (sharp ends facing out, or fabric glue.).. JimHannibal 2 wrote:I make mine out of cut headbands (sweatbands), works well for me. Cut to required length, wrap around straps and sew together where required, leaving gaps for access to strap adjusters.

Good idea Jim, only issue is the cut ends may fray if not stitched, maybe silicone adhesive or something else for the cuts could prevent this.Goofproof wrote:For those that don't sew, a stapler can be used, (sharp ends facing out, or fabric glue.).. Another use for a FOODSAVER??? Sealing the nylon you cut. Could also use Hot melt glue, Glue it lightly, before you cut, that should keep it from fraying. yep I'd check with them too. I got the neck/cheek pad set up from them last week mainly to help with irritation from straps rubbing and found that they extra padding is nice too. Plus its 100times better than I could cobble together and I'm quite handy.Cardsfan wrote:Pad a cheek's website says "if you do not see what you need, contact them' they can try to make something for you.
