Hi. I notice that the Mask setting on Philps Dreamstation is marked as numbers 1-5 which correlates the mask of their own brand.
I'm currently using a resmed F20 full face mask. Naturely I'm trying to look for the number for the similar Philips made full face mask. However, it seems Philps do not have a F20-like full face mask. Which setting do I need to set on my dreamstation when I'm using a resmed F20 full face mask?

Re: Using Resmed mask on Philps Dreamstation.
The mask setting on Respironics machines is primarily based on the mask's inherent resistance.
In fact when it was first offered on the System One models it was actually called "Resistance setting".
Only Respironics brand masks offer the Resistance control setting number on their masks.
No other brand does. No other brand offers this sort of setting at all.
You would need to do a lot of research and find out the resistance in a non Respironics mask and compare it to a Respironics mask with same resistance to get a workable "number".
But back when this feature was first offered and people were asking your same question they were told by Respironics that when you use a different brand mask and don't know the setting....just turn that feature off or set it to 0 which turns it off.
Back when it first came out and I had my first System One model machine and was using a ResMed mask...I tried all the settings including off and I couldn't ever spot anything on my reports that pointed to the setting doing anything special.
Certainly didn't feel different and none of my numbers really changed either.
