Air blowing in the face dream

Post by LavenderMist » Sun Oct 14, 2007 7:30 am

I read the "floating" dream and this one didn't quite fit. I accidentally fell asleep last night watching tv without my mask on. I was having a very vivid dream on being on a train and the lead cars were all facing backward. Even though they were facing backward, I could feel wind blowing in my face. I abruptly woke up to a family member talking loudly to someone in my house and realized "OMG! I fell asleep without my mask on." My chest was pounding. I must have been having an apnea event and in my dream my body was trying to get the air blowing in my face again. I've had some strange dreams since being on cpap, but this one seems directly related to it and falling asleep without it. To the newbies out there who are struggling, yes, you do eventually feel "naked" if you wake up and have forgotten to put it on. There is hope!

Yep..I agree..

Yesterday I came home from seeing my son in the hospital and fell asleep on the couch, I was awakened by one of my dogs nudging me and licking me, I was dreaming I was drowning and couldn't get any air..An apnea event was taking place and my doggie was doing his best to bring me out of it..I woke up to my heart pounding, I was sweating badly..Scared the heck out of me..I now am more aware how serious sleep apnea really is, heck so do my dogs

Some people have a tendency to dream in color while others don't. I dream in HD color. What was your dream in the other night?

Funny that was brought up. I also dream in color. I also "see" in my dreams the way my almost blind eyes do in real life. My color reception is good for someone as visually impaired as me. I'd also say that I dreamt in HD color.

Dreaming in color or as the case with me HD color is definitely better than 1950's black and white isn't it.

Yea, I agree! If it were really B&W, I'd be really up the creek visually for sure!
