I work for a DME that deals solely with xPAP supplies, and a couple of weeks ago Resmed came in and showed off the Micro and their new VPAP.
The Micro is a great new mask. It is most like a combination of the Activa and Quattro. The best new feature on it is that it has a 24 position dial to adjust the forehead cushion so that you can get a great seal. Also, the Micro is the quietest mask I have heard to date, and I've heard just about all of them. The new vent system on it allows for this.
I definitely will be recommending it to new patients because of the simplicity of getting the fit right and the quietness of it.

I can't wait to see and hear more about this mask. It sounds like a real winner. Finally someone paying attention to minute details of fit for everyone.

I see they use the same elbow-to-frame design as the Quattro.
I wonder if Resmed finally got it to fit together right, or if there is going to be another bunch of folks hitting the Teflon tape?

I got these in a few weeks ago and have put them out on quite a few patients. I like the various sizes instead of just std, shallow and Lrg. I also like that the seals are easier to change out. I like that the forehead pad is adjustable like the quattro. They did change the elbow connection. I have not heard one queak or leak at all. ( Although I have not had these on patients long term, only a few weeks.) At first, I am always leary of masks that come with different size seals that are sold to DME companies as "The only mask you need to carry to fit all your patients" These always seem to me like cheapo masks that some DME's will love because they are cheap. This mask has not shown to be a cheap alternative. It seems so far to be a great option for masks. I would compare it more to a mix of the Quattro and the Ultra Mirage II Nasal Mask. ( Not the Activa, it does not have a floating seal.) It seems like a great mask.

Yikes, it's $130!!
Well, it's going to have to wait a while for me, until I can get the cash saved up. But it's next on the list.
