Damn the pink but this may be just what I need:

http://www.resmed.com/us/products/swift ... s&sec=true

Reason: I liked my Swift FX right from the start, but the backstrap kept riding up, so I bought a stabilizing strap from Padacheek which did a great job of keeping the headgear in place, but gave me a feeling like my head was in a cage. In deep sleep, this has caused me to be frightened on several nights, causing me to rip the mask off in my sleep. And then it's hard to put back on in the dark while half-asleep with three straps to spread apart and pull over my head. Sort of a mad circle.

I'd like to try this. It may not bother my ears as much as others. Especially lying down gravity would be working with me not against me. And it would be so much easier to put back on if it came off.

I bet you would look great in pink.

Those pink side things..easy to make your own if the pink is too bright with the lights out.

I will get my grubby little paws on this the first chance I get. I would like to get the whole thing because it says that even the other side cheek silicone straps have been modified...so I can compare.

Probably not for me.
I have scars on the back of both ears from ulcers caused by my first pair of glasses.

I'd be willing to try it, but wonder if my nice, little flat ears would end up making me look like a wing nut!!!

Cheers,

Have you slept with them yet? Look interesting but I just don't see how my ears could maintain the tension necessary to keep a good seal particularly if you sleep on your sides.

I have ordered the new Bella loops. I should have them by the end of this week if the website where I found them, truly does have them in stock. Only ordered the loops...no need for the other headgear and stuff as I have a couple of Swift FX complete mask setups already. I will post my comments after I get to try them out.

Pugsy,

If the new Bella loops don't work for you, the deer in your avatar have the ears for it...

Good luck!

They do indeed don't they? I have tiny ears so who knows how this experiment will go. If it is a bust it won't be the first time and probably won't be the last one. I do like to try new things.

Where did you find them in stock???

I suppose I could overlook the pink, but it scared me when I first read that you have to have "detached earlobes" to wear these :

http://www.resmed.com/us/assets/documen ... -guide.pdf

but when I read on further I saw that it may have simply been a poor choice of expression. At least I won't have to have my earlobes cut off in order to wear them.

I admit hesitating over making that sacrifice.

Never knew ear lobes could be detached. Mine appear to be detached though. Never thought of calling them that. I could see where things might hurt a bit if a person had the other kind.

$24.95. plus Priority mail cost so roughly $30. Cpap.com doesn't have them in stock and I didn't want to wait. My DME...who knows when he will get them. He says every since they switched over the Respironics machine the ResMed rep has been scarce.
cpap-supply.com...nothing mentioned about not being available yet but I ordered online after hours so will see what happens tomorrow.

Hmm. Considering how well I have NOT gotten along with the Swift FX, and how much I hate things over my ears, this may not be a good thing.

(See viewtopic.php?p=611505#p611505 for my difficulties with the Swift FX.)

I will be interested to see how people get along with it...

Oh wow! Thanks for posting this...I've got a new mask replacement coming in March and am definitely giving this one a try! Personally, I think the SleepWeaver would work great with ear straps like this as well...may have to send Circadience a photo and tell them to give it a shot!!
