Instead of using Nasacourt last night I used Sea Salt for dry sinus. I had 48 leaks& 1.5 AHI

Every night using Nasacourt I have been only having 10 leaks (max) & 0.1 or 0.3 AHI at most.
One night is not a pattern.
Do the math.
Sea salt is not a substitute for Nasacort unless you never really needed Nasacort.
No agreed, that is not a pattern. But I have been having excessive leaks for some time, so I tried Nasacort, & have been reading extremely better since.
I thought to try the SeaSalt, but I was back to excessive leaks.

When I get sick or feel stuffed up, I have put a couple drops of eucalyptus oil in my humidifier reservoir. Wash it out with dawn dish soap after. Not sure if it is recommended but, I have been on CPAP for 20 years now and seen no side effects on equipment.

Thanks everyone for all the replies.. I threw out the Afrin. And won't ever get any more.

I should talk to my Dr & see what he says, he knows me pretty well.. Lots of great info here, Thanks again..
Maybe try Flonase instead?

I was able to get rid of the Afrin now I'm only using Nasacort once a day seems to work. I also quit the Azelastine what I found was I had orginally been using Walmart Generic version of Nasacort but a month ago when I went to get more they were out of stock. I had to buy the name brand of Nasacort I found it actually worked much better for me I was having lot of rebound after a month of using the Afrin it had to go. I found if I take the Nasacort around 5pm by bed time no issues sleeping I can continue to use my same mask I have. Sometimes I wake up little congested but not enough to have to use Afrin. I also found the Afrin was raising my BP I just didn't feel good using it. I have also used flonase but I feel the Nasacort is better product.

They are two different products. Flonase contains fluticasone and Nasacort contains triamcinolone.

It's good to hear you have found something that works for you.
