What a load of crap. I will leave it to jnk and William to debunk his crap because the sailor in me would be a not very nice person saying some stuff that is rather colorful.

Sure makes me wish I really could reach through a computer and slap someone up the side of the head with a 2 X 4....more than once.

I’m a new poster, but an active lurker. I’ve learned so much from you guys! This article was outrageous! Just awful! I posted a negative comment on the article and contacted PT to retract the article, if for no other reason than the crap this doctor is shilling at the end of his piece. I really like PT and I am really disappointed they allowed this to go live. SMH

This forum means a lot to me. I’m having to do this PAP stuff by myself and for that fame-hungry quack to ADMIT that it’s really all the fault of doctors leaving us in the dark... but still “don’t try to fix things yourself!”. Just idiotic. Doesn’t he realize he negates himself?

In my experience, many “professionals” consider themselves to be so much above mere mortals, that we should simply trust them blindly and not think or act for ourselves - doctors, lawyers, tax preparers come to mind. They may be scrupulously honest and very qualified, but even the best of them likely figures they know more than we do. They are probably right, at least in their areas of expertise. However, the best professionals I have dealt with also want the client to be educated on the issues and actively involved in the solutions to their problems. I was insulted by the tone of the article.
