There is a hat manufacturer here in my town. Owned by a Trump supporter in fact. If Trump
truly wanted to make America work again he could have had his campaign slogan caps
made here instead of in China..

Then again maybe he tried but the owner knew he'd get stiffed on payment.

I own three of his "Make America Great Again" caps and they all say "Made in U.S.A" on the label.
I ordered mine directly from the Trump website.

Want to try another lie/false statement/innuendo?
Or, maybe that "Trump supporter" ordered his from another supplier.....IN CHINA.....and not from Donald. Or, maybe he's ripping off some of his customers.......AND Donald.

Yup, hats are made in America. If only every other clothing item of his weren't made in Asia/Mexico/etc. (they are) His professed patriotic concerns are a very recent development. Phony as Hell, too.

We could save money by cutting the pay for a female president and apply it to the national debt, cut her shoe allowance too. Make them take their gov paid vacation in a single engine prop plane. Jim

Do we really think everything should be made in the U.S.? Global history shows that countries that have the most international trade are the most prosperous.

Exports count for a big part of our U.S. production. Imports of materials to be used in manufacturing are a big factor in our domestic production.

About those caps and other apparel, what Americans want jobs in apparel manufacturing working at a sewing machine all day?

If Trump were actually able to implement some of the things in his trade barrier rhetoric, he would throw the U.S. economy into a depression.

Not the ones from HIS website.
I went through just about every item on his website and couldn't find anything made elsewhere.

But, it looks like everybody else is trying to make a buck off of his name, logos and most of that stuff is being made elsewhere.

According to some here we're already in a depression.

You jogged my memory about some personal experiences and thoughts.
In the late 1970s, I was working for an oil company that used IBM mainframe computers. One night, I opened up the back of one of the tape drive cabinets and saw the label "Made in France" on it. That started me to think about some of the history of the imports and exports. If you go way back to when this country was becoming industrialized, many of the folks had come from foreign (mostly European) countries. They liked their French perfume, Italian marble and many "uppity" things from the "Old World".
Fast forward to the end of World War II and the Marshall Plan (reconstruction) of the countries we fought. My theory is that our large industries (I called them "The Generals"....General Motors, General Electric, General Mills, General Dynamics, etc.) used that opportunity to get cheap labor to make their products while the countries were being rebuilt.
Germany and Italy made high-quality products (like firearms). As their prices increased, the industries looked for other lower labor costs, so they went to Japan (electronics and cars), eventually Korea (electronics and cars), Malaysia, China, Mexico and wherever else they could find lower labor costs. In the meantime, our country was increasing the taxes on the companies (here) and therefore it was even more profitable for them to manufacture outside of the U.S. And, over the last number of decades, companies have merged and sold out to foreign companies. It's bewildering how many of the company names we grew up with are owned by foreign conglomerates.

And you keep relying on the liberal loonie sites for information.
Talk about drinking "Kool-Aid"!!!

I have the caps......direct from the Trump site......and they're labeled "Made in the U.S.A".
But, like I said, lots of people are ripping him off on the products they're selling from other countries.....and in the process making him look bad......either accidentally or by design.

The unfortunate part is (as I said in my previous post) is that lots of manufacturing has been shipped overseas.
Think of how many steel plants are closed up and workers put out of jobs. Textile mills......same thing.

Yawnnnnnnnnnnn.......... This morning's old news.
Did anybody REALLY expect anything to come of it when the DOJ and POTUS had the game rigged?

http://www.breitbart.com/2016-president ... oundation/

All they did was to further demonstrate how corrupt this administration has been.
Time to drain the swamp!

There’s a slim but real chance that, when the smoke clears, Trump will have led the GOP to a historic defeat, handing the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives to the Democratic Party. Amen!
