What short hose do I need to buy?
I need a hose that can universally connect between a mask and a typical 6 foot cpap hose. Ideally, it would in addition be able to connect between the CPAP machine and the 6 foot hose. Would any of these work? It doesn't need to be more than like an inch really.

The reason I want it is that I have discovered that in my case, intentionally causing a steady 10% leak greatly improves my therapy. I will post more about this later. I create this leak by poking a hole in my tubing. But I want a dedicated length of tubing that I can sacrifice to these kinds of experiments, and that can be used along with any mask that I may try ( as opposed to messing up my 6 foot hose, or poking holes in actual mask cushions).
Thanks.

This is the one that I use, it is light and flexible. https://www.cpap.com/productpage/circad ... -tube.html

Most likely any leak you see helping you with your XPAP numbers is caused the machine reading the data incorrectly due to the leaks. No, it's real. Definitely results in an easier time triggering spontaneous inhalations, which I have a problem with. Also, the AirFitP10 in particular doesn't have enough ventilation, and there are several reviews of people having difficulty exhaling with it.

If that were true, I'd just disconnect my hose, and I would be cured. Jimmetallikat36 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 8:44 pmNo, it's real. Play with it. There are changes in the dynamics of what's going on that you could figure out within a minute. The black box has it's proprietary stuff going on. I think the answer lies in accepting that it's behavior can be tweaked with the help of leak. If I up the leak to like 25% the machine starts to almost forcefully initiate inhalations, which leads to aerophagia.

Tell your doctor what you are doing. I'd love to see the look on his face. you sound like the guy that was going to take the plugs out of his mask o2 ports to lower the pressure. My biggest fear is that some rookie is going to read this nonsense and try it.

If all you want is to increase trigger sensitivity, then adjust the trigger setting... don't dork with the respiratory circuit.metallikat36 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 8:44 pmNo, it's real. Re: What short hose do I need to buy?
I already have trigger sensitivity set to very high. This is in addition to that. My case is not typical.
Re: What short hose do I need to buy?
Nor is your alleged solution. The more leak, the more trouble the machine has determining what's going on, and the harder it has to work to maintain effective pressure.metallikat36 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 10, 2018 11:53 pmI already have trigger sensitivity set to very high.
