You would be better off starting your own thread instead of piggybacking onto this one. If the sizing guide showed you needed the medium cushion, you could possibly need the medium wide cushion. The sizing guide only measures the length of the nose, not the width. The fitting guide that came with the mask will show you if you need a different size frame. Closing off one side of your frame should not lessen the ability to provide the proper amount of air.

The Dreamwear mask is designed so that if one side is pinched off, the machine maintains the prescribed pressure through the other side.biztraveler wrote: ↑Wed Sep 26, 2018 7:58 amWhen I sleep on my side, the tube on the pillow side gets pinched. Should I be worried about that, or will the machine compensate?

Do you mean it felt like you were not getting enough air? What are your pressure settings? Doctors often set the minimum pressure to 4.0 cm. Many of us get a feeling of "not enough air" at pressures below 7.0.biztraveler wrote: ↑Wed Sep 26, 2018 7:58 amWhen trying to sleep last night and breathing through my nose, it felt like I was trying to breathe through plastic.

You can sleep on your stomach with any FFM including the Dreamwear. You just need to use the correct technique. See Dr. Falcon's instructions here - http://www.uarsrelief.com/sleeppositions.htmlbiztraveler wrote: ↑Wed Sep 26, 2018 7:58 amSleeping position: I've been a stomach sleeper for as long as I can remember. This doesn't seem compatible with this mask.

Yes, it would be better to start your own thread. This allows people trying to help you to easily see the history of your case.
Please fill out your equipment profile - https://www.cpaptalk.com/ucp.php?i=prof ... pment_info

Re: Dreamwear Full Face Mask
I have NO problem with machine or mask noise (I use the DreamWear Cushion) because I also tend to be an insomniac who hears ever creak and bump in the house. I solved that problem ages ago by getting a good white noise machine and running it every night near my bed. Consequently, EVERYTHING about starting CPAP bothered me EXCEPT the noise. Just an idea for you....Brett_Coon wrote: ↑Fri Sep 07, 2018 11:07 amThanks for the suggestions. I'll definitely try higher starting pressures. Part of my challenge is that I'm an insomniac, so I often spend a long time lying in bed contemplating all the things keeping me awake, and thus anything making the CPAP more noticeable is a challenge. This includes higher pressure and mask noise.
