It's so funny all the ads for the cleaning systems for xPAP on the Facebook sidebars and YouTube from the info they gather on my search history.. They must spends so much to keep up with the misinformation with these products ..

Would this be in the bathroom, which houses the TOILET, eternal fountain of e-coli?
I really need to find a better place for my TOOTHBRUSH! :shock:

It sounds similar to some of the bacteria my DME was spewing about cleaning ;)

i've been using the unscented baby wipes as well, they are all natural with no petroleum....we have a 15 month old...so we have TONS of packs of wipes that my wife hoarded over the last year.

I've used those baby wipes for over a decade now. Haven't caught anything yet. Make sure they are unscented. They taste awful!

I've never used them on my XPAP, or a Baby, or for a flavoring, I haven't caught anything from them either, how strange is that. :lol: Jim

Hello. Not that I know of. I have a ResMed 10 and I soak my mask & hose once per week then hang it over the shower rod to fully dry. On some - you have to be cautious that there isn’t too much moisture as it could interfere with the electronics. You worry about germs and then you hang your hose in the most germ filled room in the home. Really smart. Do you have any other good ideas?

I would suggest that you do use the CPAP as a dryer; at least when your traveling and have to pack the CPAP. I'm not sure that a few droplets of water would cause a short, but you really want to make sure that you pack your unit dry.

One thing I would suggest is not to do your traveling just to wash your XPAP Hose, the germs in your bathroom are good enough, no sense paying for fresh ones.

Last place I traveled too was the Hospital, when I came home I changed the filters and hose, and sprayed the mask with Lysol Spray. Nothing from the Hospital killed me, YET!

Wrap mask and hose in a towel, and put crumpled dry paper towels inside the reservoir.
So easy than even an idiot can do it--except D.H., of course. :roll:

That's what I do also when I travel. There's no way to get into and dry all the nooks of a 760 Respironics tub. I just wipe my mask with a wipe and I usually don't wash the hose.
Then I put both mask and hose into a plastic bag.

So with most of you saying you don't wash your mask or humidifyer daily like I was told to. How often do the rest of you clean those things.

-washed my hose once
-wash my mask once a week (wipe it daily with a baby wipe
-washed my tank twice
-never washed my head gear
-replaced my filter once
