To be honest, it's more looks like spam thank scam. Just improve the registration process with few anti-spam technologies, I guess it must affect such posts
can you be a little more vague?
Looks like another spambot slipped through, there.

Since my wife and I both use a machine, there are two of us checking the water level every night. My wife normally goes to bed earlier than I do, so she fills the water. I always check before I go to bed, and have found they hadn't been filled once or twice. I simply filled mine, then shut hers off long enough to fill hers and she didn't wake up while I was doing it.

I have a hygrometer next to my machine, which tells me how full the tank needs to be filled.
I keep my distilled water nearby, so I can correct the occasional "oopsy".
The distiller clatters away in the kitchen as needed--noisily, since it is old.
I put the water in well-washed Arizona tea jugs--way stronger than the wimpy water jugs at the store.

Spam or scam--the dregs will always be with us.
We do what we can to combat the horde.

Perhaps another did slip past the defenses. I thought long and hard on this one but the end result was....I don't get to disapprove something based on a gut feeling. I need cold hard facts or proof.
It wasn't immediate approval though...I took my own sweet time about it while I was thinking about it.
I waited until this thread was on the second page (I thought) so that hopefully what was said would go unnoticed and this thread would fall back into the archives.

Then someone just had to bring it back to life again.   I should have known better.

Folks....sometimes the proper response to some of this crap is no response. I know it's hard to ignore but sometimes it's just best to let it go off and die on its own.

modified water chamber design maybe?

What if you installed a tiny water sensor probe or thermometer probe about half way down in the water chamber, have that linked back to a little circuit board that could trigger a solenoid to allow more water to trickle in through a hose about the size of an aquarium air line. You could have a larger tank to hold extra water, maybe about a liter. This would keep the water chanter topped off through out the night regardless of your settings.

I know I run my humidifier dry all the time on weekends. I can't "Sleep late" and not be assaulted by that smell of cooking water deposits. If a derpy company like noclean can remake a humidifier chamber lid to add a port for an air line, it should be doable to add 2 - one for water intake and one for a sensor of some sort, that can detect a lack of water. It's a mater of setting up a system that detects a conditional change, and opens up a little valve - and then closes that valve a predetermined time later after that condition is longer detected. If your worried about flooding your night stand, you could add a 2nd sensor to detect a possible over fill - that could shut off a safety valve cutting off all water from the extra tank. With a little blinking red LED letting you know the safety sensor was triggered.

Some of you all never run your humidifiers empty because you don't turn up the heat very much... but others of us love our humidity and turn it to max, this leads to all the water evaporating from the tank well before it's time to wake up in the morning.

Just an idea... who knows.

Rest well,
Gryphon

No need to add a sensor, that just complicates things. Water does a good job of levelling itself out naturally.

Just add an external "Tupperware" tank with an air tube above the fill line and a water line below the fill line.

The picture shows the external tank, without the airtight lid on. The lid must be on in order for it to work.

I love this idea - but I don't have any more room on my night stand for another container to sit right beside my machine... So my idea although a lot more complicated and prone to failure would work better "For me" because I could place the water supply somewhere else.

However, using two tubes - and a sealed container to create a larger overall water volume is simple genius. I like it! :)

Very cool design.
All I would need is a shelf extender, because my tank hangs off the edge already.
