So the idea is that a stronger tongue wouldn't fall back into the airway? I guess we'll find out if many people try this device out, it's either going to help or not. But it doesn't sound like fun! I wonder if people will be lining up to try it?ChicagoGranny wrote: ↑Sun Jul 25, 2021 3:16 pmWhen OSA patients fall asleep, the tongue and other airway muscles relax. Re: FDA Authorizes OSA Appliance to Wear While Awake
Ok folks. I have been practicing good sleep hygiene…dim lights, no reading in bed, yada, yada yada. So here it is late at night, I am almost getting sleepy when I see this post. I cannot stop laughing hysterically. Now fully awake. Thanks a lot.

Re: FDA Authorizes OSA Appliance to Wear While Awake
Well, when I saw the reaction in the ad, I was full of hope that my wife would react the same way. (at my age i need all the help I can get)
But when I asked her how it would look on me, she said "If you come at me at night with that thing in your mouth, you'll be on the couch in the living room."
So, alas, I was no longer interested in it.
But when I asked her how it would look on me, she said "If you come at me at night with that thing in your mouth, you'll be on the couch in the living room."
So, alas, I was no longer interested in it.

I don't think I'd come to my wife wearing the device. I'd come to her with a well toned tongue following a few Excite workouts. I think they could expand their market if they looked beyond OSA.
