Other comfortable Nasal Masks besides Activa? (no nare)
Other comfortable Nasal Masks besides Activa? (no nare)
I don't like nare inserts such as my Swift, etc. I've liked the Activa due to very soft material and not having to cinch it on very tight, but the bulk of it is a bit much; but frankly the Activa has saved me, but I wonder if there is another nasal mask that is comfortable and not so big? The grass is always greener....
nasal mask
What you're looking for is the Soyala nasal. It almost leak proof, quiet, and light. Also comfortable and easy to adjust. The price is right also.

Puritan Bennett DreamFit nasal mask (not the "Dreamseal" attachment for the Breeze) or the Soyala nasal mask would be my choices if I were not going to use any nasal pillows interface.

I have used the CL2 with the simple cushion with success. It just covers the tip of your nose.

Right. Just as blarg said.
Besides using a more stable, comfortable (imho) type of headgear (straps), the DreamFit has a bellows section between the cushion and the front of the mask. The accordian-like bellows allows the DreamFit's cushion to get shoved sideways, yet still maintain a good angle to the face and a good seal.

As with any interface that has a connector hose routed up toward top of the head, it helps to hang the main air hose higher overhead...from the headboard or wall. Lets the wearer be like a fish on the end of a slack line, able to turn over easily underneath without the main air hose tugging at the headgear or the mask.

I have been using the DreamFit mask for about 2 months now and find that is very stable, provides a good seal no matter how much I move during the night.
It has lots of adjustments to insure a good fit. I like it as much as my Activa.
I use the large, and this seems to be a little smaller than other masks that I have that are also large, but it works Ok for me.

I'll chime in with the others and highly recommend the Soyala nasal mask ( not the full face version!)
