Dump the Soclean and also stop using bleach in your tank! There's no reason to use such a strong chemical in your tank. White vinegar is what you want to use.

The SoClean has worked okay.
The only OK work it has done is to move money from your pockets to the pockets of the investors.

You are free to do what you want to do.

I also use a Soclean unit after every use.
... I discovered black "hard" particles in the tank in addition to black "streaks" floating in the water.

It has happened before, that black "fines" from the carbon filter (these were Soclean filters) were installed in the Soclean Machine.

My question is, is this residue a mold residue?
no, it's CPAP residue, you've ruined your machine by using the fauxclean.
And voided any warranty that Resmed might have wanted to still have. on it.

Apart from the CPAP machine which can be replaced when it is damaged from an ozone cleaner, consider your own health.....

and the bits of foam that *didn't* get trapped in the water tank. guess where they ended up.
