AirCurve VAuto 10 vs 11

Post by McSleepy » Sat Feb 22, 2025 3:01 pm

There was a nice post about the exact ways (capabilities, specifications) that AirCurve 10 VAuto differs from the new 11. I can't find that post (I think it should be a "sticky") but it's also been some time, so I'd also like to enquire about any updates. I'm over 12K hours on my 10 and will look into getting a new one, so I need to decide whether the 11 is even worth considering (assuming the 10 is still available through insurance). The water tank size will probably be the deal-breaker with the 11 as mine barely lasts one night as it is (very high pressures, high altitude - low absolute humidity in the air). If someone can point me to that old post, and if anyone has any updates on the 11 that might be different from before, I'd appreciate that.

Both the AirSense/AirCurve 10 and the AirSense/AirCurve 11 models have water chambers that hold up to 380 ml of water.
So the size is the same in terms of capacity. You can look up the specs if you want verification.

BUT the amount of water consumption may make it seem that the AirCurve/AirSense 11 models are smaller because I have both the 10 model and the 11 model and the 11 model uses a lot more water than the older model even at less humidity setting.
I ran dry with the 11 model and humidity setting of 6 but with the 10 model I can use the setting of 8 (8 hours of use) and still have water left over. Same ambient humidity and same hours of use but dramatic difference in amount of water used.
Makes no sense to me but it was a remarkable difference.

Sorry but I don't remember that post comparing the two models. I didn't save it so I have slept too many times to remember who did it or when it was done.

Thank you, both! It was a post here, in the forum (that blog post is about the AirSense). I think it was Zonker or one of the more active users here. It had about a dozen lines, with bullet points nicely summarizing the differences. I also remember a discussion about the auto-updating of the 11 - nobody likes surprises.
