weird squeak coming from mask swivel connection

Post by Hoover » Sat Nov 17, 2007 7:03 pm

Hello,

The swiveling point of connection from the mask to the hose just started squeaking. It just bothers me as I move as I'm drifting off to sleep. Any ideas of something I could do to stop it? Wax? KY Jelly?

Thanks friends.

Make sure it's actually snapped all the way on. My Activa squeeks if i don't have it snapped on all the way.

Anything that'll lube it up a little should work

There are a number of threads about squeaks --

Here's one:

Also, you can try a google search using the following:

Some people use a little vaseline but please note that one needs to be careful in any situation when the vapors can be breated into your lungs (see above post).

Others have had good luck with KY jelly or liquid.

When my Liberty started squeaking, I used a little Ayr gel to stop it. I used it because it is CPAP friendly and I didn't have to worry about inhaling fumes. It did okay, though I went back to my Swift.

Good Luck

Thanks everybody - I will try some waterbased lubricant or some mild liquid soap. I halfway thought I was imagining this so I'm glad I'm at least not losing my mind.
