The sticker definitely means it is a refurbished machine .. I had the same problem with my initial humidifier. The DME had taken it out of the box in front of me so I never really gave it a look until I moved it to take on a trip. I called my DME and we swapped it out right away. I used a refurbished Auto for a month .. never had a problem with it either.

My DME insisted the warranty was valid from the date I received it. I would still pursue getting it swapped for a new machine if your insurance paid for a new machine!

Just to check back in, I finally got Respironics to call back with the info. It was definitely a repaired machine and Apria tried to pass it off as new. I called and they were sooooo nice and said bring it back and we'll give you a new one, we never give out refubs. Bull. You would think they would have been smart enough to take the sticker off the bottom of the machine so I wouldn't see it. They are trying to act like they have no clue as to how I got a refub. Glad I pursued it, as my ins. paid good money for a new one. I wonder if I should report them and to who. I called my insurance(Cigna) and the person who answered wasn't real interested in getting involved when I was asking questions but they might be more inclined to do something if I report it now. First I want to get my machine and then I'll take it from there. Thanks for everyones help.

Glad to hear you got that straightened out. I'm sure they'll pass the "refurb" on to someone else.

Good luck with your therapy.

Yes sure, we never give out refubs. We only keep them in stock to fill the shelves, so it looks like we are in business, and some of our costomers, like our workers can't read English, and forget to remove the sticker.... Jim
