When I was 13 I nearly died from a kidney infection and was on a no salt, no spice diet for a year. I still eat low salt and don't do spicy. It is amazing what nearly dieing will do.

I remember I was amazed at how delicious some things are with NO salt!
The different flavors in a plain baked potato--the skin is pure joy!
And naked popcorn is so different from salted and greasy! --way, way more tasty! Especially warm.
