Hey everyone,
Anyone with a Trilogy 100 care to comment on their setup?
Do you use a passive circuit or an active circuit? (This might depend if you're using a non-vented mask or a vented one)
Do you use dual prescription mode? (Different vent modes for daytime and sleep time usually)
Trilogy 100
Re: Trilogy 100
These are interesting questions to be asking.
I have a passive circuit. I do not use dual prescription on a regular basis. When there are times that I feel the need to make changes, I will use the secondary prescription for the test of the changes. I leave the primary prescription for my regular settings so I can switch back to them easily.
Curious as to why you're asking?

Re: Trilogy 100
Curious for a couple reasons, pretty new to this machine:
I like the idea of the proximal pressure sensor line, that way I can stick one of those in-line filters on the output between the machine and the hose and still have accurate modes of ventilation (pressure drop across filter media would be compensated). I have very sensitive allergies and I think this would be very beneficial.
The thing is that, from what I understand of the documentation, you need to also use the active exhalation assembly because its either use both or just go passive.
So I have a couple Respironics active circuits on the way to play with but i'm encountering difficulties trying to get a non-vented mask. Traditional xPAP suppliers barely even know they exist, let alone stock them from what I can see. Currently trying to get a Hans Rudolph 7700 special ordered from my current supplier, but it's the weekend so e-mail is slow.
When you use the AVAPS-AE mode, do you get vibration of air pressure in the line after a few minutes? I think this is part of some apnea detection system. Basically you will be breathing normally and then the airline will start to vibrate at ~10Hz or so. The odd part is that even though its all spontaneous breathing, i'll get an apnea alarm. This I find odd.
My settings are:
AVAPS Rate: 5
Tidal Vol: 515
Max P: 26
PS Max: 12
PS Min: 2
EPAP Max: 14
EPAP Min: 8
Rate: Auto
Anyway, so far this is one of the most comfortable machine's I've ever used. The S/T mode just feels more natural to me than that of a normal PR 760 Bi-Level. The option to change the flow triggers is really nice, but I haven't quite found my favorite yet. (Auto-Trak Sensitive makes be breathe kind of faster than normal).
My machine has software version 13.2.

Re: Trilogy 100
I did a trial with AVAPS-AE and got that. According to the experts here, those are FOT's and yes, they are part of the detection protocol. They disturbed me too much and I decided, for that and other personal reasons, to stop that trial and go back to regular AVAPS.Anonymous Coward wrote: When you use the AVAPS-AE mode, do you get vibration of air pressure in the line after a few minutes? I've had to turn off ALL the alarms. No matter what my settings, the apnea alarm would go off (others as well).

Previous post was me. I forgot I wasn't logged in. Sorry about that.

Re: Trilogy 100
Yeah these so called FOTS can be disconcerting so its back to regual S/T with AVAPS for me too.
I wish sleepyhead could read the data from this thing.

I doubt the Trilogy will be added to sleepyhead. There aren't enough people using this machine.aytikvjo wrote:Yeah these so called FOTS can be disconcerting so its back to regual S/T with AVAPS for me too.

Re: Trilogy 100
Unfortunately true. The data structures are probably similar though. The only alternative is to try and find DirectView: A task that so far my google-fu has been unable to solve.
