Re: Wrong Usage Time
So... just wait a day? Is that what you're suggesting? I'm suggesting that when you get the 'cannot change clock' message you pull the card, erase data, then change the clock, then put the card back in. Do you disagree with that?Dog Gobbler wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2024 5:03 pmYou didn't have to.vandownbytheriver wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2024 9:13 pm
Why did I have to Erase Data in order to 'fall back' then?
It's perfectly acceptable to move the clock back, so long as you don't move back into a session with data, or a previous (ResMed) day with data.
Here it is, Gobbler... he uses Erase Data. You really don't want me replying to you, do you?Perhaps one day, you'll see one of your YouTube idols do a video on howto change the clock.

No...not a day. Usually just a few hours is enough.vandownbytheriver wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2024 10:28 pmSo... just wait a day? Is that what you're suggesting? I'
It's why I tell people who want to adjust the clock for DST changes to do the changes in the evening and not the morning so there is less chance that there will already be data in the session that prevents the clock from going back.
BTW....no more snarky comments. They aren't helpful at all.

Re: Wrong Usage Time
This post demonstrates exactly why you have no credibility here. You were wrong, and instead of just acknowledging you were wrong and learning something, you lie about it then move the goal posts.Liardownbytheriver wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2024 10:28 pm

When Pugsy told you that setting the time backwards doesn't require erasing data, your response was, "Why did I have to Erase Data in order to 'fall back' then?".
She (and I) then explained the circumstances that it could be changed.
Now, you've moved the goal posts, you said nothing that resembles, "when you get the 'cannot change clock' message you pull the card, erase data, then change the clock, then put the card back in". Nothing. In fact asking why you *had* to erase the data suggests, you didn't know the circumstances when you could set the time back.
And Lanky's video is wrong. He, like you was obviously unaware of the circumstances where you can move the data back. As he stated you could not set the time backwards.
Both Pugsy and and I knew the circumstances, because we aren't Jason/Nick sycophants. We don't just accept what they say as absolute truth. We scrutinise, we experiment, we learn.
And no, I didn't suggest anything at all suggesting one should wait a day. Nice strawman, liar.
But if you're interested the two most common reasons the clocks need to be set back is Daylight/Standard time adjustment, and time zone adjustment because a device came factory set from a different time zone.
Typically, both of the above, won't require an adjustment of more than 4 hours. So the preferred solution is *NOT* to erase data, the preferred solution is to simply wait until after 1PM to "fall-back", or 2..4PM to adjust for time zone.
But more importantly, people should understand how these things work, which you appear to have a problem with. You would rather lie and obfuscate the issue, instead of a simple acknowledging you didn't know something or were wrong.

Re: Wrong Usage Time
It kinda depends on what is done to mess with the screen name.
Besides.....last time I checked 2 wrongs don't make a right.
And with that comment....if you don't have anything else to actually help the OP here and not hijack this thread anymore...how about you just be a big boy and move on.
Your point of view has been clearly stated by yourself and there's no need for further snarky crap.
If you can't be helpful...how about just moving on?
Further off topic snarky crap will result in offending post(s) being promptly removed.

OK... that's all the link shows. You're the one on third shift right? Your days will split at noon... probably with big gaps in them.

No, I dislike smart start because it also implies smart stop. I just push the button on and push it again when I want it off. The wind blowing is noisy enough to disturb my wife. Besides I have it where if she hears a leak she will nudge me awake enough to fix it.Horrorbiz78 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2024 9:33 pmI got the Clinical manual, really interesting info.
Do you have yours setup for SmartStart?
Re: Wrong Usage Time
New to ResMed, AirCurve 10 VAuto with 4G
What about when traveling?
Does it change the time automatically or do I do it manually?
I mean a different country with another telecom provider.
Thank you

Re: Wrong Usage Time
The AirCurve 10 has a clock you can set the time. It does NOT do anything time related automatically.
Be very careful if you go changing the clock. The machine has some limitations when it comes to going backwards in time and sometimes it won't let you go backwards because there is already data stored within that time frame. It goes forwards easily but sometimes going backwards creates a problem. Not always but fairly often. Just ask the people who have problems every spring and fall when changing to DST or out of DST.
