Anyone been using the F&P Brevida nasal pillow long-term (ish)?
Been using the P10 which is great overall, but it tends to cause pain/sores on the nares of my nose. I've been using lanolin and it does help somewhat. I'm already using the largest pillow size - the fit seems good and no real leaks.
Have not seen much about this mask. Watched lanky's review and he said at a CPAP pressure of 10cm h2o he heard an annoying sound coming from the mask or tubing connector thing.

Tried it. One thing I really didn't like about this mask is leak handling. With other pillow masks, any small leak around the nostrils that usually goes to the air and does not bother that much. In the Brevida, due to the enclosing pillows it goes back to your face.

I gave it about a 3 month trial. So the fact it got 3 maybe 4 months means I liked it.
It's a nice mask.
Only 2 very minor drawbacks to it and it's more along the lines of my own rather stuck in the mud personal preferences...less on my face gets dinged a little because the pillow has a larger footprint. But it is super soft and comfy...but it's there.
And for me that softness causes the pillows to inflate and deflate with each breathe (not everyone complains about it but I found it annoying). I was able to tune it out though and sleep quite well with it. Just took a bit of focused tuning out if you know what I mean.
The way it sort of wraps around the nostrils for me was both good and bad...makes more "stuff" on my face a little but super comfy doing it.
The silicone of the pillow...super soft and if the P10 pillows are maybe just a little too stiff...you might like the super softness of the Brevida. It is softer than the P10 and less likely to make the nostrils sore if the size is not quite perfect.
Sizing is limited and I kinda wished for a chance to maybe try an XS/Small version but they don't have one. I made the Small/Medium work well enough but part of me wanted to at least try a XSmall/Small and couldn't.
It's a nice little mask and I really liked it. Couldn't quite nudge the P10 out of number one spot for me mainly because of the footprint even though it wasn't a huge footprint...it's still a bigger footprint than the P10. And the minor inflate/deflate annoyance which in all honesty is easily tuned out.
Give it a try....you won't know how you will like it until you do. I was using my ASV when I tried it...often saw pressures over 15 and sometimes over 20. I don't know what Jason was talking about ....I didn't experience it.
The headgear is still very minimal but more adjustable than the P10 so it is less likely to put so much pressure on the nostrils that you can get with the P10 and the P10 pillows seem to run on the small side. You might need an XLarge in the P10 and it's not available.
I found it very stable and leaks were less with it from mask movement than with the P10. Because it hugs the nostrils more I guess.
I never had the leaks happen that the other poster was talking about having it bounced back to the skin.
I do move around in the bed a lot. I simply can't stay in one position very long due to back and pelvis issues. I found the Brevida to be quite stable...probably more stable than the P10 but it just couldn't get past my main box for masks...the less on my face and head box but it is so close to the P10 in terms of footprint that it was well worth trying. For me to try any new mask for 3 or 4 months means I like it really well. Most others get maybe 2 or 3 nights.

Re: Anyone been using the F&P Brevida nasal pillow long-term (ish)?
Okay well damn I am going to have to try this mask out then. The P10 pillows do well for me but of course comfort is king. It looks like the Brevida has a fit pack but I'm sure I'll be using the medium/large cushion. I do move around in my sleep a lot I believe, so I am excited for the stability of the mask.
I am using iVAPS mode, which is somewhat similar to ASV mode - in that pressures are variable and can increase and decrease with speed (servo ventilation). I notice that once the IPAP goes beyond about 18cm h2o when sleepingwith the P10 pillows, my spontaneous trigger percentage drops from 100% to the mid 80's or so, which I think means either the pillows are leaking somewhat, or for whatever reason this encourages me to start mouth breathing a bit. I can see this as a flat horizontal line on the respiratory rate graph, showing that it's giving me timed breaths. I suppose just like APAP, I may benefit from working on my min pressure, so maybe I don't ultimately need that high of a max pressure.

Re: Anyone been using the F&P Brevida nasal pillow long-term (ish)?
I have been using the Brevida almost exclusively (occasionally going back to the P10 for a night or two for comparison) since February, 2017. This meant searching for a reseller in Canada who would ship to Florida at a reasonable cost. I find it extremely comfortable and very stable. The wings of the pillow provide a triangular buttress that results in solid but gentle sealing and stability. With care in donning it seals nicely and virtually all leaks I encountered had to do with mouth breathing rather than a poor seal. The practice I found most effective is to loop the straps over the hand holding the cushion/frame while gently mating the cones of the pillow to the nostrils then, with the other hand, bring the strap with the F&P logo over the head to the base of the skull. Following that, bringing the second strap over the head to a level above the first. With both straps in place and smoothed out, carefully adjust the cushion for a comfortable seal. It is most critical that the straps are not tight - the inflation of the pillow will help maintain the seal but must have sufficient range of movement to allow comfortable cushioning.

My wife loves this mask. No longer is she blown away by my exhaust vent.
I took me a couple of nights to get used to the slightly larger footprint of the pillows, but I find it very comfortable. Just bought a replacement as a spare so I will be using it for a long time.

I just started using this mask, what is the trick to preventing leaks. Seems like no matter what I try, I wake up with air blowing in my eyes. The "Mask Fit" on my Resmed Auto 10 checks fine after fitting the mask.

Re: Anyone been using the F&P Brevida nasal pillow long-term (ish)?
I started off with the sm pillow. I had issues with leaks and found I ended up over tightening the head gear. I then switched to the lg pillow, loosened up the head gear and it works great.
I will say that after a roll over if I cram my head into the pillow I will leak a little until I shake my head and everything settles into place. I usually don't notice this but it has happened.
Also, if my back strap rolls to the top of my head, I end up with leaks until I pull it back down.

Re: Anyone been using the F&P Brevida nasal pillow long-term (ish)?
I got the Brevida yesterday and I have mixed feelings. Overall good, but a nagging bad point.
Pros:
More comfortable than P10 - pillows feel like a soft cushion surrounding your nose. I hardly noticed the pillows against the nares. No soreness when waking up.
Headgear more adjustable - straps to add or relieve some tension to get a better fit
More secure than P10 - rolled around quite a bit and there were no leaking problems that I noticed
Less leaking - same settings as the night before, less leaks overall. (only one night of course)
Neutral:
About the same noise level as the P10 pillows. In some positions the Brevida seemed a bit louder
Can feel even less vented air than the P10 pillows. So little that I sometimes wondered if the machine was even on
Negative:
Using bi-level, every time you switch from IPAP to EPAP, there is a noticeable sensation in the pillows that happens. It's like the pillow inflates upon inhale to protect the seal, then deflates upon expiration. This is ANNOYING and honestly may hamper my ability to use the mask. I found myself unable to block it from my mind at times. I honestly think this is a MAJOR drawback and should not exist. Thankfully I was tired and just happened to knock out anyways.
The pillow cushion surrounds your nose and can feel almost suffocating. Definitely more obtrusive than the P10 pillows.
