Darth Vader breathing noise from mask

Post by mowog73 » Wed May 22, 2019 9:59 am

My wife complains about the breathing noise from my AirFit N20 nasal mask's diffuser, which is a AirFit N20 nasal mask; she said this morning: 'It sounds like Darth Vader'.

Is there a way of reducing the diffuser's air noise?

~~~add white noise to the room.
Like a small fan?
I'm a girl and I can't help but notice that almost every post of this nature is from a girlfriend or wife complaining. I suppose that there are more men on cpap and that should account for some of it but really I think it's the selfish nature of many women.
NOT this OP's woman ... this is just a generality.
I can't imagine my bed partner complaining about something that is helping to keep me safe and healthy?
He would never have a chance to complain twice, that's for sure! 8)
Began XPAP May 2016. Autoset Pressure min. 8 / max 15. Ramp off. ERP set at 2. No humidity. Sleepyhead software installed and being looked at daily, though only beginning to understand the data.
I can see it if it's something bad enough to keep them awake, but, is it worse than the snoring? :lol: :lol: :lol:
I did sell a bedmates respironics machine because the rising and fall in whine from it... So I switched em to a Resmed... No more whine.
Furbabies are not necessarily quiet sleepers.
Just ask anyone who has had a dog with a brachiocephalic noggin.
Like a pug, or bulldog.
Oh, for a pup-pap.
So as not to derail this thread any further how about I start a new thread where I will post some pictures of my new baby girl and also ask that you all share pictures of your babies also. It's been a long time since we did that and I think it is time that we do it again.
I don't have many pictures yet of any decent quality. We have had bad weather here and at 4 PM it's been about as dark as 8 PM.
Though I did grab a handful yesterday. No time today though...just got home from being over at my mom's all afternoon.
I will start a new thread shortly...I need to get the pictures off my phone and onto my PC first.
Give me about 30 minutes or so. I need to take a few breaths first...busy afternoon...my mom and I took Lucy to see my mom too so my hands were full.
