Is There a Market for Used ResMed AirCurve 10 BiPap

Post by Louanna » Sun Nov 13, 2016 1:10 pm

I have a used ResMed AirCurve 10 BiPap machine that was used by my late husband for several months for usually 4 to 5 hours a night. It is complete with shoulder strap carrying case, and I have 2 or 3 unopened Simplus full face masks along with a new and unopened tubing package. I am not very educated on its operation but if anyone is interested, I can make pictures of the equipment that I have. It is very clean and comes from an extremely clean environment, no pets or smoking in the house. Thanks for your help.

What else does it say on the blower besides ResMed and AirCurve 10?
Like...S or VAuto or ASV or S/T?
BiPap itself refers to the Respironics bilevel machines...and we already know the ResMed AirCurve is a bileve pressure machine but there are several models available in the bilevel model line.
So need to know exactly which model line and someone will ask for how many total run hours.
Pictures would really help.

There is always a market for everything, the problem comes with the seller being willing to accept a price that the buyer is willing to pay, and finding that buyer. Jim

"resmed bipap" is like saying "buick mustang"

just leave off the word "bipap" because that's a respironics thing.

if you want to sell it, you need to post clear pics of it, showing the model, (since there are several completely different aircurve10 machines) and a pic showing the run hours.

As I said in my original post, I am not educated in this machine, so please forgive me for the errors in posting. I am 81 years old, not too tech savy, but all I can do is post a picture of it, or could I just copy the booklet that I have that came with it. Also where would I find the total hours that it ran? And how would I determine the price? I had thought about donating it, but then someone told me that I could probably sell it. Any money that I would get at all for it would help as my husband was sick for 5 years (not breathing problems) and now my Social Security check is cut almost in help; so a little monetary reimbursement would be nice. I would be open to offers after I post the picture and can find the hours of use. Thanks for your help, and please be kind to me--I am kind of old and definitely tired and cranky from my years as a caretaker (not complaining, just stating facts). He was my husband for almost 64 years, so I lovingly took care of my sweetheart.

Louanna, please accept our condolences and best wishes.

Maybe one step at a time.

First. what letters do you see under the words "Aircurve 10" in the lower right hand corner of the machine? The right hand side being the side where the humidifier attaches. The letters have an outline around them, as if they are in a box.

Those letters will tell the people on cpaptalk.com what type of machine it is.

Sorry for your loss.
Do check with your local SS Office as you may be able to collect a reduced portion of your husbands SS which may be more than yours. Hope it is and do check with them soon.
Bless your heart Louanna.

I am looking for a unit with a backup rate. Could you post the model number? Not sure where it would be located - a lot of times it is on the back of the unit. Thanks
