Nasal mask liner or padding?

Post by jwz1986 » Sat May 15, 2021 8:09 pm

I have recently switched to a resmed N20 mask and found the right size, however the smallest size is still putting uncomfortable pressure on my cheeks on either side of my nose.

How have you dealt with this? Are liners helpful, or is there a padded product out there? Or even a diy solution?

Thanks!

Edit: I have done much googling and am aware of common websites. I would like to know what people have specifically used or done about this issue.

Are you sure you're not making it too tight? It should just be enough to keep the mask on, but not squash the silicone that needs to inflate. If loosening it doesn't work, you might just need to look at another type that suits your face better - there are a lot out there and some places will let you try them for a few wks, for a small fee. Look at Cpap.com for ideas - lots of variety.

Maybe, I’m not sure. This is the 4th mask I’ve had and I do like it… maybe I just need time to adjust, I don’t know

Like Julie says, you may be wearing it too tight.
The mask cushion only works if you let it flex.
A mask liner may help by quieting the normal leaky squeaky
so you can let it ride gently on your face.
