What SD card format works in the Resmed Airsense 11?
Hello again,
I want to use OSCAR to help improve my CPAP therapy. What format SD card works with the Resmed Airsense 11? I have an SD card formatted in exFat….my computers at home are all Macs. When I inserted the SD card in my cpap machine, nothing happened. What should I expect when inserting the SD card to my airsense 11?
Thank You

There isn't a lot of information about the Air 11 yet for a few reasons:
Although OSCAR support for the Air 11 is still beta, the posts in the Beta forum on Apnea Board suggest the public release is imminent. I would suggest you insert an SD Card (FAT) in your machine as soon as you can so you can start collecting data now in anticipation of the release.

Thank you. Hopefully the Oscar version that supports airsense 11 comes out soon.Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 2:36 pmThere isn't a lot of information about the Air 11 yet for a few reasons:Having said that, I have seen posts about the Air 10 and likely still true with the 11 .Stick with an SD Card 32GB (or less) formatted as FAT. exFat and 64GB are problematic.

Consequently the OSCAR v 1.3.0-rc1, the release candidate was announced about an hour ago.Redstormsju wrote: ↑Sun Oct 10, 2021 3:01 pm

This isn't a public release, but is a good sign that the final public release will be very soon.

Re: What SD card format works in the Resmed Airsense 11?
Just wanted to confirm a couple of things as I got my AirSense 11 earlier this month. I used Oscar version 1.3.0+ee0520b2 and it downloaded the data off my card fine. The card is a Sony 64GB Class 10 SDXC 1 40 MB/s.
Some notes, whatever card you insert the Resmed will format it, so whatever data you have on there make sure you back it up beforehand. Hope that helps!

No, it won't format "whatever card you insert". It formatted your card because it's 64GB and therefore had exFAT, which the Air 11 didn't recognise.thepiecesfit wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 6:27 pmJust wanted to confirm a couple of things as I got my AirSense 11 earlier this month. If an SD Card has a FAT32 filesystem, the ResMed will just lay down the proper file structures.

Re: What SD card format works in the Resmed Airsense 11?
I'm currently using a Toshiba FlashAir for my AS10. In anticipation of getting my AS11 in a few weeks, I was thinking of ditching the FlashAir and just using a regular SD card. I want to enable jumbo frames for my 10G network, and when I do, I can no longer access the FlashAir card wirelessly.
What size card is recommended? I was surprised at how cheap the SD cards have gotten lately, but I'm thinking a 32GB SD card is probably all that is needed.

32gb is way more than enough. Even an 8gb will hold years of nightly AS11 data.
As mentioned above, the AS11 uses FAT32 format. If you put a card with another format in the machine, it will reformat it to FAT32. Unlike many earlier machines, there is not a 32gb limit — I have tested up to 256gb cards in the AS11; it formatted them to FAT32 and wrote to them without issue.

256GB? Will that store data for 30 years?

Re: What SD card format works in the Resmed Airsense 11?
At least.
I'd normally recommend a 4gb, but it's hard to find anything that small these days -- often an 8gb or 16gb is often cheaper and/or more easily found.
I tested 64gb, 128gb, and 256gb only for curiosity -- to see whether the AS11 could handle them. It can, whereas a lot of earlier machines were limited to 32gb. But I guess I can see the situation where someone gets an AS11 (which doesn't come with a card at all) and wants to use whatever they have on hand -- which is a 64gb or 128gb -- until they can source a smaller one.

I really like the Toshiba FlashAir's wireless transmission, but could benefit from jumbo frames due to large file sizes I'm moving back and forth between my desktop and NAS.

Just because you're using jumbo frames doesn't mean you have to stop using your FlashAir.southerndoc wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 11:23 amI really like the Toshiba FlashAir's wireless transmission, but could benefit from jumbo frames due to large file sizes I'm moving back and forth between my desktop and NAS.
Wifi doesn't even support jumbo frames, the MTU on Wifi is 2304 and jumbos that are larger will get fragmented anyway. For your FlashAir to remain running you'll need to keep a 2.4G network.

My Mac mini won't communicate with the FlashAir when I enable jumbo frames on the Mac mini.Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:12 pmJust because you're using jumbo frames doesn't mean you have to stop using your FlashAir.southerndoc wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 11:23 amI really like the Toshiba FlashAir's wireless transmission, but could benefit from jumbo frames due to large file sizes I'm moving back and forth between my desktop and NAS.

My Mac works perfectly fine with my FlashAir, with Jumbo frames enabled.southerndoc wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 1:29 pmMy Mac mini won't communicate with the FlashAir when I enable jumbo frames on the Mac mini.Dog Slobber wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 12:12 pmJust because you're using jumbo frames doesn't mean you have to stop using your FlashAir.southerndoc wrote: ↑Mon Feb 28, 2022 11:23 amI really like the Toshiba FlashAir's wireless transmission, but could benefit from jumbo frames due to large file sizes I'm moving back and forth between my desktop and NAS.
