Resmed Airsense 10 Card to Cloud
Does the Resmed Airsense 10 Card to Cloud CPAP use the same equipment (water tub, heated hose) as the original Airsense 10? My understanding of the only difference between the CPAPs is related to the wireless chip vs. SD card. However, I just thought I would verify since I have a pretty good inventory of supplies that I would like to be able to use if I get the new Card to Cloud version.

YES...it's exactly the same machine as the older AS10's...it just doesn't have a modem to transmit data.

My DME won't sell the card to cloud machines. They say that when you get a new machine you have to show plenty of use again. Is this true?

Well....even if it is true the machine without the ability to transmit any data via cellular connection still has every bit of same data (and more) on the SD card and DMEs could access the SD card in the same way they accessed that data long before cellular.Deborah K. wrote: ↑Sun Sep 18, 2022 11:22 pmMy DME won't sell the card to cloud machines. Duh.....some sort of card storage...many, many years ago we used "smart cards" which were about the size of a credit card and now we have SD cards.
You got a lazy DME.

Now as for insurance company requirements to get a new machine....have to take it up with the insurance but Medicare will institute it's common compliance usage requirements when each person gets any machine. Brand new or replacement...if Medicare is paying for it you have the same requirements....the 13 month capped rental thing for straight Medicare and if someone has an advantage plan they need to check with the plan because some are forever rentals.

I have one, the same machine as my old S10 just without the modem. The only thing you miss out on is compliance data for a DME and the Resmed mobile app since it used uploaded data to show your stats. But you can use Oscar or the screen on the machine to see your daily stats.
