ResMed AS-11 user wanting a WiFi SD card recommendation
Hi everyone - I just joined this group! Yay!!
So might as well put my first post down related to experiences and recommendations for a WiFi SD Card for my Airsense-11.
I started my CPAP treatment a few months ago and learning lots. At this point I want to find out the best way to transfer the AS-11 data straight to my iMac computer so I can upload the files into the SleepHQ website without having to physically move the card between devices. I often forget to put the card back into the AS-11.
I read about the Toshiba FlashAir being compatible but what are the latest findings and options?
Sorry if this has been talked about over and over I did do a search but did not come up with lots of info.
Thanks.

Re: ResMed AS-11 user wanting a WiFi SD card recommendation
Welcome!
Magic Uploader ----> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Z69KxZBCec
After a very few weeks of optimizing and stabilizing my CPAP therapy, a quick look in the morning at the CPAP machine's screen to check AHI, 95% leak, and 95% pressure was all I needed. I download to OSCAR only if something looks off. For me, that is only three or four times per year. Pulling the card for a download three or four times a year is a very minor inconvenience.
The time spent poring over daily CPAP data can better be spent working on sleep hygiene and other health measures.

I was looking at this when I first started. My eyes glazed over trying to figure out whether the flashairs were the right version (I think it has to be 3 or 4 or some such) and whether it worth $100 to import one from Germany or wherever. A few hundred dollars in the US.funny1 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 24, 2022 10:30 amHi everyone - I just joined this group! Yay!!

Then I decided to plug the card into the laptop and I realized that after the first big upload any daily upload takes less than one minute. So I upload on the mac at home and peruse later at the office if I feel the need to look at something closer. If you only do it once every so often it might take you two minutes to upload.
Really.....its that easy and takes so little time.
But yeah you could always spend the time to figure out how to do it wirelessly and maybe it works. Or, wait for the sleephq proprietary uploader, which could take a few years with supply chain issues as they are.

Re:flashair
It’s not plug and play …
You connect to the access point on the card to download the data to your computer.
Then reconnect to your regular WiFi network.
Else be willing to go into your router to set a static address for the card.
Maybe I have a faulty card. But the stability of the card’s connection to the router isn’t amazing.
I frequently have to reconfigure it to reconnect to the home WiFi network.
The router shows the static DHCP lease but the card is not connected.
I have done it both ways.

I look at the data on my machine's screen in the morning and only download to Oscar every 3-4 weeks. I don't find it necessary to look at all my data every day. Moving my SD card to my computer takes about 2 minutes.

Toshiba Flashair user here - set it up many years ago and works great. It’s on my home network, just fire up the downloader and see data in Oscar.
Reach out if you have questions configuring it, can share details of my config.

I've been using FlashAir problem free for over 4 years.
Unfortunately, the FlashAir is fast becoming an unrealistic option, Since discontinuing them, they are difficult to find and the price is outrageous.

Or set a manual IP on the FlashAir's configuration, just make sure the card is outside of the DHCP range. That's what I do.

Re: ResMed AS-11 user wanting a WiFi SD card recommendation
I really appreciate the responses - thanks very much.
It makes me rethink the importance of this wireless SD connection idea. The inconvenience of physically removing the card and sticking it into my card reader isn't that much of an effort of course. My only issue really is that I have forgotten to put the card back into the AS-11. Maybe I should just get another cheap SD card and make sure there is always a card in there after I remove the one to go to the computer. I don't want to miss a nights data - I think that is doable. As mentioned this doesn't have to be a daily task, maybe a few times a week.......
This is a great place with great people having similar issues

The other day when this first came up I realized I brought the SD to my office to compare Oscar and sleephq results. I forgot to put it back in my machine and whoops no data that day. Oh well.
When you UL it says don’t change page. After that you can eject the card while it does its internal thing. You have to wait a moment to see the prior day. By then I have it uploaded, chip in pap, and I sit down to coffee and look at it on my phone. Habit.
THAT is a big part of why I prefer sleep hq. ymmv

I keep a note to replace the card in my nightstand drawer. When I pull the card, I lay the note on the bed. If the note is still lying there when I am going to bed ... well, you know the rest.
