I have this machine and am happy with it but when looking on my options today I noticed something different than the resmed web site has for this machine
My options look like this
Ramp Time
Climate control...auto
Tube Temp....27Cel.
etc etc.
while the web site says
instead of tube temp, it says humidity level.
I know I have Climate heated tubing but do I have a Humidifier.
if I do why can't I change the level or is the degrees listing all I have to change.
I have had this machine for some time now but just noticed this.
I also want to get a new mask and have been using the P10. I am thinking of trying the n30i but am not sure what to do.
Thanks for any advice.

Since I don't use a heated hose, I can't answer your question about the humidifier setting.
But you also write:
But you also write:
If you are just starting out, contact your DME and see if they'll let you exchange the mask. If you want to keep the P10 and also try the n30i, you may have to buy the second mask. You can wait until your insurance pays for a new mask frame and get a new mask then. Or you could just buy the new mask out of pocket.I also want to get a new mask and have been using the P10. I am thinking of trying the n30i but am not sure what to do.
Thanks for any advice.

Re: ResMed airsense 10 autoset for her
This is why you aren't seeing a humidity setting option....you have climate control set to "auto". This is the humidity setting.
It can be changed to manual and then you will see the humidity setting choices from 1 to 8.
With the heated hose you can have "auto" for humidity and also "auto" for hose temp if you wish.
You can also have either humidity or hose air temp set to "manual" and make whatever specific choices you wish.
What interests you about the N30i?
It isn't silent like the P10 if that is a concern for you.

Thank you Pugsy,
I did not realize that. I will try it on manual setting just to see if there is a difference. What setting do most people use or do you know.
I also did not realize that the n30i would make noise. I have no problem with the P10 but just thought that I might like a change.
But if it is noisier maybe I should just stick with a new P10.

Re: ResMed airsense 10 autoset for her
People use whatever works for them based on their own personal preferences and needs both in terms of humidity settings and hose air temp settings.
AND everyone is different in what they prefer or need.

Me....I would snort water if I could and I like a cold bedroom so I have to use a heated hose at max temp just to try to not get rain out annoying me. Others don't use as much moisture or heck, even any added moisture so there's a lot of variability with preferences.
The N30i (and P30i and F30i) I found to be excessively noisy as in mainly the Darth Vadar breathing sounds for one thing. So much noisy that I didn't even try to sleep with them because I have been spoiled by the silence of the P10 and/or Bleep mask.
If you want to look at a nice little mask that is also silent and is similar to the N30i as in the under the nose cushion thing....look at the ResMed AirFit N30 under the nose cushion mask. It uses the same diffused venting system as the P10 and same headgear and it's silent.
Nice little mask. Moves around a little more than the P10 but not horribly so.
I tried it last January just to be trying something new out of boredom and was pleasantly surprised as to how nice it was and I am a touch cookie to make happy when it comes to masks. I actually used it for about a month which is saying a lot. If I don't like something I don't spend much time with it.
