Sylvia Browne Acknowledged Sleep Apnea on Montel Yesterday!

Post by dieselgal » Tue Feb 26, 2008 10:42 am

I happened to catch a recording I made yesterday of the Montel Williams show which featured Psychic Sylvia Browne. One of the audience members asked about her college aged daughter that had died in her sleep in her dorm room. The autopsy did not come up with anything wrong with her and I expected Sylvia to say drugs or something strange but she said that the daughter had died of Sleep Apnea! That made sense to me but I wonder if others had any clue what she was talking about?

Well, in one way it is good that the word is getting out to more people, but I wouldn't want to hitch my wagon to Sylvia Browne of all people.

I enjoy Sylvia and have learned alot about life from her books. So for the people who do not like her it doesn't matter. The word is getting out there isn't it?

I agree that it is good that word is getting out in any fashion and for people that believe in psychics her word carries a ton of weight.

Hey, this is great news! Does she have an 1-900 number? Maybe people can call her up and find out if they have OSA for $9.99 a minute, vs. the thousands that a sleep study costs!

LOL,
Babs

OSA is already not taken seriously by many people. Having someone like her associated with it can only hurt its credibility.

I think that is a matter of opinion and of course you are entitled to yours.

Sylvia Browne's daughter's death

Post by kteague » Tue Feb 26, 2008 4:56 pm

Though I am not a Sylvia Browne fan, I can separate her physic predictions from her mention of her daughter's death. I give her the same respect as I would any mother who has experienced that loss and accept what she says about it as genuine. She does have a lot of fans, and surely many with undiagnosed sleep apnea, as in the rest of society. If her statement made anyone think twice, good for her for being willing to reveal that part of her private life.

Well of course, it is a very sad thing. While you and I may be able to separate her "Psychic" abilities from the very sad event of her daughter's death, I think having OSA linked to someone who makes a living bilking people out of hard earned money puts it on par with an ad for CPAP machines being in the back of a comic book right next to X-Ray specs and Sea Monkeys.

Well its good that no one is going to dispute the existence of sleep apnea, because if there anyone I would not want championing my cause it would be her.
