Three years of being "hosed"
Three years of being "hosed"
It seems kind of anticlimactic, but this is my third anniversary of starting my CPAP therapy.
However, (again) I would like to thank the Goodman family for providing CPAP.COM (where I purchased my equipment), their great and knowledgeable employees......Becky Polk in particular......as she helped direct me to the (then-new) REMstar Pro 2 and the Encore Pro software, and for CPAPTALK.COM so I could read up on the "ins and outs" of this therapy from those who were frequenting the forum at that time. Thanks to all those who were hanging out on this forum then......and since, too. I came to the conclusion early on, that no matter what you're experiencing, there are others who have gone through the same thing.
Maybe I should also give my sleep doctor a back-handed "thank-you" for being such a jerk......which made me more determined to make this therapy "work". "I'll show YOU......you SOB!!!"
AND......"thanks" to some of the obnoxious "Guest" posters who have spiced up the dialog on the forum from time to time.
To the new users of this therapy.......DON'T GIVE UP!
Best wishes,
Den (still trying to figure out why time seems to fly faster, the older you get)

Ah, a short timer. 5+ years here, but only since I found this place about 4 months ago did I understand what was actually happening.

If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got...
Congrats Den! It's because of people like you that I keep putting my mask on every night.

Hey Den, thanks for always being here, and being helpful to new folks, particularly those of us who rode up on the Short Bus.
After a year on the hose myself, I find myself less and less prone to log in every day and post. When everything's fine, I get tired of being a 'patient'. I really admire you for continuing to monitor and help people along.
Plus you're just a swell guy, and if I'm ever in Wyoming, I hope I can take you out for a beer!
Thanks for all you've done for me, and for this forum. You're one of the Great Ones.

Congrats Den, great going! I guess 3 years may not seem very long to some people, but I am sure it seems like Eternity when you have to strap in every night being compliant. Lots of dedication there. Thank you for all the help and understanding that you have given me and so so many others here on this forum. Would not be the same without you here....Keep the light burning for all of us....
