ozij,

I like how you singled out the respironics masks. This will be interesting. In my area Respironics is all the DMEs seem to want to sell. Lucky for me I don't rely on the DMEs for my equipment.

Sincerely,

Nasal Aire II was my first and still favorite.

Last mask ranks number 2, the Comfort Curvve by you know who.

I have a total of five masks and still looking for the one that is going in the grave with me for eternity.

All I have ever used is the Respironics ComfortClassic nasal mask. Have not had trouble with it for 10 months.
Of course I was not told of any other mask, but maybe if I had complained or had trouble with it, they would have told me about others.

Until I get my Respironics Comfort Lite, I'm using a Comfort Care Mask. I'm getting the Comfort Lite because I like a mask but they're all too big. I tried on the Lite and it sits right on my nose. I also have a Swift, but I can't get the hang of those pillows.

Correction: Make that a Comfort CLASSIC, not Comfort care....

I switch off between the Activa and the Swift, trying to get the nares used to the pillows.

Activa with an Ultra Mirage as a back up.

IMHO, Respironics make the absolutley worst masks. Resmed makes the very best. Activa and Swift are my choices, but as is so often said, everybody has their own opinion and it is very subjective.

Nothing's wrong with a mask that's good for you.

My mask of choice is the Aura. The backup is my Activa.

I love my Hans Rudolph Full Face mask, even though it is a little big for me.
I need the Extra Small not the Small.

The four masks I rotate among:

Aeiomed Aura - nasal pillows

Puritan Bennett Breeze - nasal pillows

ResMed Activa - nasal mask (covers nose)

ResMed Ultra Mirage FF - full face mask (covers nose and mouth - useful for congested nights when mouth breathing is more comfortable.)

I use my "chopped down" Aura almost every night. Pictures of the drastic modifications I made to my Aura are at the links below (also a pic of how low I put the stabilizing side straps on my Breeze):
