There is a new nasal mask that is soon to been on the market called "
SomnoPlus".
The manufacturer of this mask,
Somnotech, claims it's much more quiet than any other mask. We're in the process of verifying it.
If it meets our standards we will be posting it for
sale and you will be reviewing it.
Cpap.com just heard about it,and we're making sure it's good for end users.
Do you think it could really be as quiet as they say? Does it look comfortable?
Comments please.

Ted,
Thanks, looks great. I see they also have a three point headgear with an integrated chin strap. Is this available for sale yet? I didn't see it at cpap.com

Looks like nice equipment---even the head gear! Hope it's as comfortable as it looks.
On a humorous note, turn that last picture upside down and a suitable caption might be:
" For Sale: Jock strap with prosthetic tail!"

SWS,
After that comment you expect me to put that thing on my head?
Sincerely,

Heheh! Good point, Wader... It may still be "physically" comfortable to wear, but now it's no longer "psychologically" comfortable!.
Boy, it's good folks like us with apnea have short memories. By tommorow morning I'll be right back to thinking that whole thing looks comfortable all around.

Its the latest style on the beaches of France. Should go well with a PB420E
Cheers,

This SOMNOmask is made by a German company called Weinmann. Here's a link to their masks and PAP machines that are sold in Europe and elsewhere (most are not available in the U.S.):
http://www.weinmann.de/schlafmedizin/sc ... zin_e.html
Want an exotic AutoPAP? Be sure to read about their original SOMNOsmart and well as their SOMNOsmart 2. Unlike the U.S. autoPAPs, these also map the airway openings using a technology that is similar to SONAR (as it maps the ocean floor). I see they also rely on flow and snore signals as well.
They make high-end jock straps as well...

The Somno Schnoz mask. Or is it the Schnozulator. I love it Also doubles as a swimsuite.

Hi Folks,
When I first posted the top post, I was not as clear as I wanted to be. I have rewritten my top post to explain what we are doing at cpap.com
Cheers, and thanks for understanding,

The new mask does look comfortable. I would test it. Any clue as to how much?
I like the built in chin strap.

You all!!! I am absolutely dying laughing here. First Wader posts the HR mask pic, and now this thread appears!!
I write "LOL" a lot, but I swear, I burst out laughing here at the computer (the dog jumped! the cat scattered!) when I read this sentence:
" For Sale: Jock strap with prosthetic tail!"
and then this!
"SWS, After that comment you expect me to put that thing on my head?"
And to top it all off, going back up to reread THIS! LOL
"If it meets our standards ..."
Will you all please, please offer a video of the testing for sale!!!?? ROTFL!

The mask with the built in chin strap is a different model than the one shown at the top of this thread.
I also like the idea of their Noise Suppressor and other attachment for reducing noise. Any chance CPAP.com might import those for sale?

Janelle,
The mask is the same, the Somnoplus. There are three headgear options, the Somnostrap (the pict Ted posted), the Somnostrap plus (the pict I posted) and the Somnocap (no pict shown).
Ted, thanks for digging this one up. It really does look like a quality piece of equipment. For those who have an issue with exhaust noise it could be very helpful.
rested gal, be careful, by making the suggestion you may be voluteering yourself to be featured in the video. HA!
Sincerely,

That's what I love about this forum....the great sense of humor everyone has!
The mask looks really comfortable. I think it would be worth testing out.

HEY TED !!
Count me IN on this one....Hey ! What the heck , I've already tried about 11 different interfaces........ Since "headgear" is always an issue with me ...I like what I see in this "web" type straping system.
PS I also checked out their website. Hummmmmm It certainly looks like they know what they're doing. HOWEVER>>> we all know that "looks" can be deceiving.
