I send my prayers to God almighty in Christ Jesus for you on this day of reading your message.

You are healed because Christ paid the price for your healing - just believe and accept it to be so. As I write you I am also consoling myself as I too have been going thru a great deal of health issues and have recently learned it is called Polymalgia Rheumatica and apparently I have had it for several years and no doctor was aware of it until MOnday when I went to an RA doctor and she hit it on the button. Unfortunately it has progressed so that I too have to undergo agressive treatment with Prednisoe having no other choice. In between my tears I find courage to continue to endure knowing the all things work out the the whole of God's plan and he never leaves us or forsakes us.

In that I pray sister in Christ that we may both rest in the peace of Christ in our journey. God Bless......

Dear FINALLY GAVE IN,
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers,as I will pray for you too. I have been on prednisone high dose for about a month now and it is so hard,totally ruins the stomach lining.
They are not sure yet what I have but I understand that usually if you have Temporal Artertis you also have Polmyalgia Rheumatica to go along with it.
The headache, chills, and fever are now gone since I've been on Prednisone,left just the last few days,so that's quite an improvement,just feel really bad in the stomach now.
I know a lot of problems can develope from being on prednisone,especially high dose for a long time so we really need to pray for each other that GOD will hold us close in his arms.
I appreciate so much your caring about me and I really hope you feel better too.

I don't understand, if your allergic to your blood pressure medication why doesn't he change it instead of giving a dangerous steroid like prednisone?

Well, he gained weight and his face got real round, but it worked when nothing else did.
His body was fighting a bacterial blood infection and even after the infection was gone (about 6 months) his body just wouldn't stop fighting.
One of his many doctors said most doctors don't believe in this as a treatment to calm down the body, but my son was willing to try anything.
Endocarditis had caused him to have a brain aneurysm and it was a scary time.

He is well now and we are blessed.

Things will be ok, you'll see.

It's not blood pressure medicine,it's thyroid medicine. I have been taking thyroid medicine for many years but I've always taken the generic. DR. gave me name brand which caused a severe allergic reaction. I'm back on generic now.

Another longterm Levothyrox user here! So sorry you have had such problems and hope that now you are back on the generic, things will be on their way soon.

Prednisone is a strong med, but it has its uses. Keep drinking and take time out to be kind to yourself.

Remember that God gave us the talents to enquire after knowledge and to use it for good or evil. That's the gift of Free Will and Liberty and one of the greatest freedoms he could give us. Even Prednisone was created to help mankind.

That said, I hope that you will feel better soon both in your body and in your spirit. Be kind to yourself. It's not selfish in your position to put yourself first. Do so.

Hi,
For an update,I am feeling much better on the prednisone,headache is reduced quite a bit and the chills and fever are gone.
I really hate taking prednisone though I realize that I must.It has so many side effects,none pleasant.
I called my dr. last week and was able to get a prescription for carafate to help with the stomach irritation, so thats helped quite a bit.
