I don't move enough during sleep
I'm sleeping great. My AHI's have been less than 1.0. I've been a back sleeper ever since I started CPAP 12 years ago. Now I notice that I barely move all night. I wake up in the morning feeling stiff and sore because I haven't changed position much all night. My bed looks barely slept in with covers neat and pillows in same place. So how do you do something about that?

Re: I don't move enough during sleep
As my DH is the one who makes the bed during the week as he gets up later than I, he made a comment right after i started on CPAP that my side of the bed hardly needed straightening up.
Prior to going on CPAP, not only would I wake him up, with him fearing for his life as I tossed and turned, kicked and flailed my arms around, he would almost have to completely remake the bed every day.
I don't wake up stiff and sore (well.. no more than I did before), but I feel much more rested now.
Had you considered you don't move around now because you're sleeping better?
Cheers,
xena

I have almost stopped tossing and/or turning over. Many nights I only turn once, according to husband and the fact that I have awoke several mornings in exactly the same position as I went to bed. I sleep with two pillows directly in front of me to support my arm and one between my legs (helps to stabilize my back while sleeping), not to mention 2 under my head.
I'd notice if I turned over
So far, the more quality sleep I get (with increase in quantity of time too) the less I move around.
EDITED TO ADD:
As far as the stiffness/soreness goes, I just deal with it. I've got a few health issues and they're not great, but they haven't put me down and out yet. I discovered I'd rather have a few hours feeling stiff as a board than the wide variety of serious untreated OSA symptoms I was having any day!

I don't move anymore either. After awhile you body adjusts and you are no longer sore and stuff. Though it takes a while. It took me about 18 months. I still occasionally wake with a numb hand because I fell asleep on it.

Perhaps it's time to look in to a bed you don't need to toss and turn in to avoid discomfort in the morning.

Re: I don't move enough during sleep
I'm 2 months into treatment. I do still move a bit, but clearly not as much as I used to. I tend to go to sleep on my right side, then switch sides during the night multiple times. I've been noticing that many nights, I never make it to my left side, or only once on my left side. I'm not waking up and flipping so many times.
I am also mot waking up as many times with hands that are asleep. I have always been a tense sleeper. I will clench my arms tightly while I am asleep. I did wake up recently with a hand that was asleep, but it isn't common now.
I have definitely noticed a lot of good changes in my sleep.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Yea, the stiffness, soreness, and of course, potential bed sores (pressure sores that old people get because they can't turn themselves). We naturally change positions in our sleep when we need to. Maybe it's the clonazapam that's making me not turn when I need to.

The first night on cpap I was shocked to wake up in exactly the same position as I fell asleep in and my hips felt like they were rusted into place. I added an old quilt to my bed to give a bit more softness and got a new pillow for my neck. After a few weeks my body adjusted and also eventually I started moving a bit in my sleep again.

Going through the same thing right now. I don't move at all at night and wake up with a sore back. Don't know if it's the bed or what, going to deal with it for another few weeks and see where I end up.
