Nose Bridge protector

Post by lullaby » Tue Sep 09, 2014 11:30 pm

Has anyone made their own Nose Bridge protector? I've tried the pad-a-cheek and the Gecko products but they made my nasal mask leak quite badly around the eyes. I've been using a bandaid however i'm starting to get a blister on my nose. Any suggestions?

Some folks use blue painters tape to keep their mouths closed - perhaps it would work in this area as well without causing irritation.
There are also a variety of hypoallergenic tapes that might work.
Look in the adhesive bandages section for paper tape, etc.

You could try RemZzzzs liners... they are of a different fabric than pad-a-cheek liners, and worked better for me with the leaks into my eyes. Your DME may have them, or you can order from https://www.cpap.com. I think you can also find them on Amazon.

Now using AirFit F10 mask; Quattro Air is backup mask. RemZzzz mask liners with both.

My first recommendation would be getting another mask. I didn't know that I could find a mask that fit better until I found this forum. For the first 12 years of therapy I put up with a sore nose. Now I sleep with a comfortable mask & no sores. It may take several tries, but you can find a mask that fits well & doesn't leave sores on your nose.

If you want to keep this mask, you might try mole skin. Its available in the foot care section of most drugstores.
