ultra mirage full face mask

Post by loonlvr » Wed Jan 26, 2005 7:24 pm

Was wondering what the two little valves on mask(ultra mirage full face) are for and how to adjust them. Just got my whole new setup(machine, software and mask). Its the remstar auto with c-flex..

hi loonlvr,

I have that mask too. Leave the little clear screws on it. Those are covering "ports" for an oxygen connection if a person were also receiving oxygen treatment along with cpap treatment. Those two little covers are not for adjustments...they are simply caps that should be kept screwed on snugly.

They also can come dislodged fairly easily. Watch out when you clean your mask. I lost one and had to plug it with a silicon ear plug until my replacements came because the air rushed out the open port. Some of the on line sites carry the replacement ports, some don's. I purchased 10 for $18 and 7.50 s&h.
