Ebay rules selling masks?

Post by Sleepysuz » Mon Jan 11, 2016 7:40 pm

I looked on ebay as I was thinking of selling my Mirage mask there and see that people just seem to sell parts.
Don't want to open a sealed pkg to do that if necessary. Haven't been able to find out if it's against the rules to sell
it without splitting things up. Anyone in the know? Would like to find a home for this and have a down payment on the kind I need
Thanks for advice!

A full mask package cannot be sold without an RX, therefore eBay will not allow you sell the complete mask unit. You can sell individual mask parts, so break it up into cushion/frame/headgear for XXXmask ... in each listing, indicate the size, etc. and mention that you have other mask parts in separate auctions, but do not reference the specific auctions or link to those listings. From my experience with eBay selling, I suggest you put in your auction title something like "cushion for Airfit P10 CPAP Mask", headgear for Airfit P10 CPAP Mask, etc. That will make it easier for people to find them.

Now using AirFit F10 mask; Quattro Air is backup mask. RemZzzz mask liners with both.

Full masks are routinely sold on ebay. They're just described "creatively". Listing all the parts separately and using the term "bonus" is what I usually see done by the sellers. I bought a complete F10 in medium on there about 7 months ago, no problem.

Use a buy it now instead of an auction if you're selling a mask on eBay. A buy it now is less likely to get taken down because you may get a sale before the end date. Masks also don't draw very many bidders, so expect to get lowballed if you use an auction.

I bought a complete spare mask and three spare masks without headgear last summer, dirt cheap. I also missed out on a few deals because they got taken down before I could complete a sale.

Good luck!

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

You could try selling here...but...plan on reasonably low offers. If not, go with Craigslist.

Thanks for tips! I put it on eBay cheap buy it now as suggested since there was no interest here for the Mirage FX
Separated head gear from the rest as 2 separate listings to keep from getting taken down. Appreciate the advice
