Humidity needs will vary widely among individuals for any number of reasons and there is no magic number that works for everyone. I prefer the maximum humidity...others do well with minimal to none added moisture and others like a more middle of the road approach.

This is something you will just have to figured out on your own because what works well for me or someone else your nose may hate.

There is no general "ideal" setting. Whatever is the most comfortable for you is ideal. For me, I remove the humidifier tank during the summer months and only reinstall, and us it, during the winter. Warm, humid air just plugs me up, so I prefer cool air year around with some moisture in the winter.

Hi Stockman! I'm new to APAP/CPAP too and am trying to find my humidity sweet spot with my nasal mask. Night 1 I had a few droplets of water at level 3 humidity/78 degrees and last night on full Auto (default is level 4/81 degrees) my mask tried to drown me after 2 hours. My issue could also be the mask, but at any rate, I'd just play around with the settings for a week or two until you find your ideal humidification levels. Where I live the air is pretty humid right now so my settings don't need to be very high.
