ResMed quattro Air vs ResMed AirFit F10

Post by KAZ » Wed Jul 06, 2016 11:44 am

So, I'm a happy user of the Resmed Quattro Air FFM and I see the ResMed AirFit™ F10 Full Face Mask that seems to use the same cushions. Is the AirFit F10 a newer evolution of the AIr. Anything about it that caused ResMed to come out with this new model that would make it better than my air? Regards

When you find a mask that you are happy with.....Stick with it!

The Quattro Air has a forehead piece, the F10 doesn't. Between the F10 and the Quattro FX the F10 is lighter and allows more vision according to the Resmed site: Part of the ResMed Air Solutions range, the AirFit series are lightweight and provide a clear field of vision. The whole range has been designed with comfort and simplicity in mind to help make therapy easy.

I use the F10 and really like it. I haven't used the Quattro.

The F10 is slightly narrower than the QFX.

The QFX cushion is not interchangeable with that of the QuattroAir and AirLift F10

Thanks for all the responses. My only question was re the Resmed Quattro Air FFM and the ResMed AirFit™ F10 Full Face Mask and Omne answered it in a clear concise way. Thanks. Don't know how the FX entered the game. As to why, if, I was happy with the Q Air I wondered about the AirFit F10, I am 100% compliant since 2007, and have changed masks/machines over the years and each time a carefully researched change has turned out to be an improvement. I'm a big fan of the F10, so I cast my vote for that

I'd still like to see an F10 come in a XL size but I'm not holding my breath.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

The Quattro was my first mask......I hated it. Couldn't deal with the forehead piece. The F10 was a total improvement as my second mask, and yes, the cushions fit them both. However, my new mask, the Amara View beats them both. I know you weren't asking, but just keep that in mind in case you want to try something new.

Thanks Sir NoddinOff, I'm leaning towards trying one out. Bambiying, I do thank you for the lead on the Amara,. I'll look it up as well.
