Mouth only mask
Mouth only mask
I currently use a full mask bc I'm a mouth breather. I have heard from a few people about a mouth only option. Has any one tried these and would this site have them for cheaper? Thanks everyone. You're always helpful and knowledgeable.
Re: Mouth only mask
Go to cpap.com and look at the masks section. They sell just about every mask that is in production. It looks like there is only ONE oral mask available: https://www.cpap.com/cpap-masks/oral-cpap-mask.php
A simple piece of the right kind of tape can keep your lips securely sealed and you breathing through your nose. The most popular nasal pillow mask here by far is the AirFit P10.

I and a few others have used the Oracle 2 mask. You should be able to get one for about $79.
Please read my post with a link in my signature block on the issues of using this mask.
I would suggest that you try using a soft cervical collar that will support your jaw during sleep as jaw drop is a significant contributor to mask leakage in full face masks.
It would be helpful if you edited the subject line to include "Oracle Mask" as that will be more likely to attract attention from the Oracle user on this forum.
I recommend the mask for mouth breathers but only after they cannot make any other type of mask work for them.
I'll be happy to answer any other questions not answered in my Oracle Mask post.
As mentioned, registering will be helpful.

Re: Mouth only mask
How come your full face mask isn't getting the job done, it should work fine for mouth breathing Maybe it's just the ffm you're using or perhaps you need a chinstrap. Here's a minimalist approach I wrote about years ago but it's still valid.Me.Mar10s wrote:I currently use a full mask bc I'm a mouth breather. I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.
