The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
I have a heated tube. But somehow I found out the Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options" screen, so I can't adjust the temperature. The menu say it supposed to have the option to adjust the temperature, my air is always cold, is the unit broken or something need to be set?

Re: The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
What is the humidity set at with the heated hose?
It sounds like it is set to Auto and I think that means it also does auto humidity.
You may need to go into the clinical set up menu area and change the setting for humidity so that you can then get a temperature control choice.
This manual is for the AirSense but the humidity controls on it are the same as your AirCurve.

I am using an AirCurve machine right now and I have chosen "Auto" humidity and I don't get a temperature choice with that setting but if I take it off Auto I do get a choice.
The air won't ever feel warm warm though...it's always going to be cooler than your body temperature even at max 86 degrees.
People sometimes expect the heated hose to really crank out heater like warm air but it doesn't.

I can change the humidifier level tho, I usually set to 3, when I switch to 4, then the tape over my mouse feel wet, so I set it to 3. So the humidity is not auto. If the temp is auto, then should the temperature display on the screen? Once I saw 80 on the screen, but now I only see the humidifier level is 3.

Re: The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
No...when temp is on auto the machine determines desired temp to hopefully prevent condensation. I don't quite understand how it does this.mibbim wrote: If the temp is auto, then should the temperature display on the screen?
Take it off of "auto" and you will have temperature available.

Re: The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
Hi, Pugsy,
Thanks! I got my climate control back via change the clinical menu. Also, change the essential to plus, so I can see my sleep report from the screen now. But one dumb question, the mask setting the DME set for me is nasal. What is the pillows? Is nasal pillow below to nasal or pillows? Oh, I did see my sleep doctor today since there is an cancellation, he prescribed the F&P for me. He mentioned may be in the future, next year may be, the p20 should come up with a more soft pillow tip. He said a lot of patients complains about that hardness. Thanks again!

Mask settings
Full...full face mask
Nasal....nasal cushion masks like the Nano or something that covers part of the nose and the nostrils.
Pillows...nasal pillow masks...the correct choice for the Nuance Pro is "pillow".
It's not likely to make that big of a difference if it was set to nasal instead of pillow. Might affect the reported leak rate ever so slightly but not hugely.

Re: The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
It's really weird that the climate control and temperature setting disappeared again from my aircurve screen. I did see it shown last night and I turned the temperature up, but won't be able to see them again this morning. What's going on? I called my DME, they never get back to me. I just afraid if the heated tube connection is bad or not? Or something else?

I did turn on yesterday via the clinical menu, it shows up after that, but it disappears again when I check this morning.

Was the SD card in or out of the machine when you changed it yesterday?
Go back into the clinical menu and see what it says.

SD is inside. When I went back to the clinical menu, the climate control even not there anymore this time, the tube says slim tube, I don't recall if before it says heated tube or not.

Re: The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
If it says slimline tube then the machine has lost the connection to the heated hose.
Correct it once more and make sure it works....if tomorrow it has changed again then there is something wrong with the machine.
There was a bug that I read about with the AirSense machines and the humidifier/heated hose thing. Fixed with a software update. Don't know that is what is going on with you but it might.
I don't remember if it affected the AirCurve models or not...but maybe it did.
If it changes again without you changing it or it loses the heated hose connection again...take it back to where you got it and have them check on the software version to see if you got it or need it...or consider the possibility the machine has something that is ailing and needs to be replaced.

Re: The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
If it won't allow you to correct it off of slim line....check all connections and make sure the heated hose is correctly plugged in.
It might just be a failed heated hose...it might be a failure inside the machine which would mean likely machine replacement under warranty.

Re: The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
There are only 3 options for the tube, slimline, standard, and 3M. I don't see other selection, it seems the heated tube just gone. I re-plug in and still nothing show up. Going to call the DME about this again. Thanks!

Re: The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
You don't get the heated tube selection in the menu if the heated hose isn't connected OR if the heated hose has failed.
So if you plug it in and the machine doesn't recognize it...first thing I would do is get a new heated hose.
The machine should recognize the heated hose immediate upon plugging it in.
Actually if this involves a trip to the DME...I would take both the machine and the hose in and have them check the machine right then and there.

Re: The Climate Control doesn't display on "My Options"
Hi all,
I don't see the Climate Control option on my AirSense either. I only have 2 options under "tube" in the clinical menu: standard and slimline.
I'm not sure if i have the heated tub, but regardless of regular or heated tub, doesn't the climate control regulate the heating metal plate below the water holder cup and not the tube? Can anyone advise please? Thank you!
Some other settings that my AirSense is currently set to:
-start pressure 4
-set pressure 6.4
-ramp time 5
-humidity level 3
-essentials plus
