Re: review of sleep trackers
Dr Winter did make a good point about the "sleep trackers" - the only sure way to know a person's sleep state is by brain waves. So until they add a skull cap of some kind, everything else is best-guess approximations.

Re: review of sleep trackers
I'm a gadget freak and self-quantifier so have tried many. Not a big fan of those gadgets using motion for sleep analysis -- they require manual intervention as they are easily fooled. Best I've seen (and currently use both daily) are the Zeo and the Whoop 2.0 strap. The former many are familiar with. The latter was designed for physical stress and sleep monitoring for athletes, but is very consistent with the Zeo on stage/quantity and provides probably the most useful info of any gadget I've used. It gives you sleep quality and also recommends your sleep need after a while based on daily stress/strain, sleep deficit from preceding nights, and your baseline need. Its expensive, discount codes available at most reviewer sites. It focuses on sleep quality rather than sleep stages though it shows the latter and they are close to the Zeo, even if reeading in bed it seems to know I'm not sleeping. Quality (and perhaps quantity) of sleep is assessed by trends in Heart Rate Variability and Resting Heart Rate within your normal window. Note: It doesn't bother counting steps. I wear it 24/7 on my upper arm so not visible. As far as fitness tracking, heart rate while very active is about the same as most optical heart rate trackers -- not as good as a chest strap but good enough for its purpose. Only problem is it tells me my workouts are wimpy.
Re: review of sleep trackers
SO its OK for you to use/quote older reference materials?

A link is always preferable.
