Chin Straps
I use nasal pillows, which I like on a Bipap machine, Have used two different chin straps, both leave marks on skin. I have thought about have my wife sew one with more cushioning and wider straps, any ideas?

chinstraps
I've read about a lot of people coming up with good ideas for more comfortable and more effective homemade "chin straps" than what's out there. I think you and your wife are on the right track - make something "custom" that works for you. I've been able to use an Ace bandage, cut and sewn to fit, to good advantage.
For some people just keeping the chin up isn't enough to control mouth air leaks. Air can sometimes puff out from between the lips even with the mouth closed. If that ever happens to you ("puffing" leaks from a closed mouth) you might also want to devise something that will go over your lips to keep them shut. Sometimes an Ace pulled upward over the lips more can accomplish that.
Good luck and keep thinking creatively the way you're doing!
