Dear all,
I've been digging around resmed.com and Google to try and figure out if regular non-Climate Line tubes for the Resmed S9 can be used on the AirSense 10.
I don't use ClimateLine's heating feature and am trying not to dish out a lot of cash for a tube. Any ideas for what I should do?
My current tube's rubber connection is loose enough that my mask slips out of it.
Thanks,
J
Use Resmed S9 replacement tube on 10?
Re: Use Resmed S9 replacement tube on 10?
The tubes between the S9 and S10 are the same. You can use slimline tubes (smaller diameters), or regular-size CPAP tubes (Resmed brand or others).

Thanks Ted!

If you use regular tubing for the airsense 10. You should change the setting in the critical menu.

If you use the regular hose, I highly HIGHLY recommend setting the humidity control to OFF as well. I used my regular S8 hose with Airsense 10, with humidifier level set to 3 or 4 (out of 10). The machine knows I don't have a heater hose attached (or else it would have offered separate humidity/hose temp options), yet it still attempts to heat the hose. This melts/softens the end of the hose so that after a few months it no longer attaches firmly to the machine. So there seems to be no way to use a standard hose with the humidifier.

No, no it doesn't, you are simply mistaken. a heated hose heats itself, the machine doesn't do it.hschlossberg wrote: yet it still attempts to heat the hose. As PR stated - that's not what is going on. Also, the connection to the hose is the same regardless if you have the tank in place or the plug. Is it possible the hoses just stretched out after repeated removals and reinstallations? In spite of our desire for things to last forever, things rarely do (perhaps just diamonds, if you believe the ads).hschlossberg wrote: So there seems to be no way to use a standard hose with the humidifier.
