resmed airsense 10 autos water chamber defect

I have had my Resmed Airsense 10 for 1 week. My humidity level is set at 6 and I have a heated hose. I have problems with dry mouth and prefer more humidity. I find by 2;30 a.m. that the humidity level in the water chamber is mostly gone after 4-1/2 and continue a hours sleep. Since I have two water chambers I thought I would keep the second one filled with distilled water so I could easily replace the empty one and continue sleeping. The filled water chamber that was easily inserted into the machine will not release off the machine as hard as I try to pull it and jiggle it. I do not know what is causing this but it has happened several times throughout the week. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem. I have tried gripping it with a rubber glove but it still won't release. Any suggestions. I guess I will be visiting the dealer very soon. Sim

I have the same problem and they just sold me another chamber. Never really helped.

Run a small room humidifier and you will not use as much water in your CPAP humidifier.

I have some extras if you need one

The tank inserts easily; but you need to squeeze it vertically in order to release it.
When you have the tank out, note that the silicone gasket has a bit of "give"
when you press the lid down. Little nubs on the lid catch on ridges inside its "garage".
Inside the humidifier bay, the bottom of the tank is hanging out there, so you need to put
your thumb on the bottom of the tank, and your fingers on top--and squeeze together.

I have the Resmed AirSense 10 also.
I have the heated hose and run the humidity as high as it will go.
I have never run out of water but close. If you are inclined or know someone that is,
you could increase the water amount by adding another water reservoir. You would need to insert a
water tight 1/4" hose fitting at water level in existing reservoir, then to the new reservoir.
These are not exact instructions but to give you a idea of what could be done. Or not.

I modified my new Resmed AirSense 10 water reservoir to accept the 1/4" hose from my SoClean 2 unit.

He's not using the SoClean as a water reservoir

They sell an adapter humidifier lid that has a top hose connect for the little tube from the SoClean.

You can get another lid from SoClean for your spare tank humidifier.

A hose would then run from the machine humidifier tank to the spare tank.

No SoClean involved.

I'd post a lid picture but there doesn't seem to be a wwy to do it.
