C-Pap Hose

My buddy has an extra cpap hose, but will the chip still show my data transmitted to the doctor or will the chip in the hose transmit his?

There is nothing in the hose that can transmit any data. Only the XPAP machine can transmit data. There are no chips in the hose.

I don't believe there is any chip in the hose.

If you have one of the newer machines that sends data...the data is sent by a cellular modem from the machine. There is NOTHING in the hose. There is an SD data card in the machine.

The chip on the connector there. Or is that just for humidity/heat settings?

That is just a proprietary connecter.
Not surprised---it DOES look a bit like a card.
There is a card slot on the left end of the machine.
The small door--the larger door is for the filter.
More maintenance . . .

There is, no chip, in the hose.

Just a heater and temp sensor.

There are two potential problems with using the "wrong" hose. First, if it's not a snug fit, significant leakage would affect both therapy and reporting. Second, you lose the advantage of a heated hose, whether it's a non-heated hose or the "wrong" heated hose.
