Can anybody who has tested both tell how the two compare?
I've been reading up on reviews, but it's pretty much always about the DreamWare with Nasal Cushion Mask.
The DreamWare frame looks like an innovative new approach for hose and mask management, with the hose connection at the top being the most promising aspect (the Philips website claims that it enables sleep in any position, even on the stomach), but according to almost all reviews the current version is a flawed design (not as comfortable as one may think, more prone to leaks and especially causing irritating noise from the front vent, silicone side arms and top vent).
From what I have read so far, the AirFit P10 still reigns supreme, especially due to its low weight, well thought through exhaust design and therefore lowest noise level.
P.S. I know that any answers will be highly subjective and that I just have to trial masks myself, but I'm currently only doing recon having to wait for my sleep clinic appointment scheduled in October (I wish it would be earlier).

Re: Comparison of ResMed AirFit P10 & Philips DreamWear Nasal Pillow (not Cushion) Mask?
I have tried both...and went back to the P10 as primary.
The diffused venting (along with the nothing much on your face and head feeling) is something that I really, really like.
The P10 is essentially silent in terms of mask vent noise...the DreamWear is not....now the DreamWear isn't horribly loud but it is louder than the P10.
The diffused P10 venting..you can barely feel it with your had about an inch away from the vent holes.
The DreamWear has 2 places to vent...on the gel pillow cushion and at the top of the head where mask frame attaches to the hose. Depending on pressures used...your bed partner might get a jet stream of cool air and not like it.
The DreamWear is very comfortable with those gel pillows...if it had diffused venting like the P10...damn near a perfect mask for me.
We all have different things with masks that trip our trigger and are more important than something else about the mask.
You will just have to use a mask to learn what trips your trigger.
I like nothing or as little as possible on my face and head. I like the diffused venting.
The P10 is probably a little less stable than the DreamWear in terms of mask movement because sometimes that back lower strap slides up my head...but I don't care because less on my face and head and the diffused venting is more important than a sometimes not so stable mask. Now someone else might place mask stability at the top of their preference list..it's at the bottom of mine because it is a rare problem for me.

Re: Comparison of ResMed AirFit P10 & Philips DreamWear Nasal Pillow (not Cushion) Mask?
Dreamwear: Love the top of the head hose attachment which allows for easy movement, hose doesn't get in the way. Don't like how the mask sticks to my skin and don't like the sleeves that go over to prevent sticking. When I side sleep, pressure on the mask over my cheeks causes the mask to move and leak. I have the old nasal cushion though which does not seal well. May try the nasal pillows at some point.
P10: Prefer this one over the Dreamwear. Love the quietness of this mask. Quietest that I own. Can use a chin strap or something else to attach hose to top of head if needed, I tend not to and just leave it lay on the pillow. Minor inconvenience. Lightweight and comfortable. Can side sleep with cheek on pillow with comfort. My one complaint is that the head strap is not more adjustable. Would be nice if it had some velcro or something. I have to get the headgear stretched out before I can use it on my big head. Not a problem for most people.
P10 would be my #1 mask, but my nose is quite sensitive so I end up wearing my Airfit N10 most of the time. I keep going back to the P10 fairly often though because it's quieter and more comfortable overall. I move around a fair amount while sleeping plus I often have my face crammed in the pillow. I think the mask moves a fair amount at night because of the way I sleep. The N10 distributes the pressure more and has more straps to keep it in place. With the P10 I can get by for a week or two until my nose hurts too much. A lot of people can deal with it and get used to it, I can't for some reason. Certainly wouldn't mind using the P10 full time if I could.
