CPAP and Caffeine
CPAP and Caffeine
Has anyone noticed that they are much more sensitive to coffee and caffeine after starting CPAP treatment? I have noticed that it does not take as much coffee to waken me up and that if I drink too much I can get jittery and anxious.

That's the idea!
You won't need as much to stay awake when Cpap's working

Re: CPAP and Caffeine
I noticed a big difference and now I only drink caffeine when I first wake up. Before CPAP I never had a problem.

Cpap therapy causes strange things. It does a lot of things to your body for the good. It's hard to tell if it's the therapy..... or just getting older...

Yes, so much so that I had to switch to decaf, otherwise I was "buzzing" all day.
I chalk it up to the therapy working and my "normal" body mechanics are catching up, therefore caffeine adds to the already normal levels. Previously, I had to rely on caffeine just to stay awake for longer than an hour. I won't drink any caffeine during a work week anymore as I have no problem staying awake all day now, but I may have a cup of caffeinated joe on the weekend days.

I can't drink coffee in the evening any more either.

It's probably because you aren't so dang TIRED! Glad to hear you are doing better. Please note: you can get jittery from coffee just from aging and it comes without warning.

I had the exact opposite reaction.
I guess frogs are different.
