Difference between airsense 10 autoset vs. aircurve 10s
Difference between airsense 10 autoset vs. aircurve 10s
I am unsure of the difference between airsense 10 autoset and the aircurve 10s. I understand the aircurve is a bilevel fixed machine where you set the epap and ipap pressures. I also understand unlike the vauto which will vary pressures throughout the night if needed. The airsense 10 autoset also is set with 2 pressures which will vary depending on any events that might occur, where the aircurve 10s will not vary but will be a fixed pressure throughout the night. That brings me to the question why would anyone buy the aircurve 10s when the airsense 10 autoset can do better. I know I must not be understanding something. Thanks for your help.

The airsense 10 Autoset has *one* pressure that's set. It can offer a *limited* bilevel ability, (up to 3cm pressure difference).mets123 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 30, 2018 12:42 pmI am unsure of the difference between airsense 10 autoset and the aircurve 10s. The Aircurve 10 machines are true bilevel, and can offer higher than 3cm pressure difference.
The S model is fixed, the Vauto varies. The S is the bilevel version of the Elite, and the Vauto is the bilevel version of the Autoset.

Sorry if I am a little slow, but I don't understand what you mean when you say the autoset is one pressure that is set. On the autoset you set a minimum pressure and a maximum setting. Epr can be set 0,1,2,3. I guess I am confused.

It might be easier if you said why you are asking

And there's ONE pressure that varies between those.
Whereas on a bilevel, you set a separate inhale and exhale pressure.

LSAT, just trying to understand the difference in the machines that's all.
Re: Difference between airsense 10 autoset vs. aircurve 10s
One's an automatically varying single pressure machine, the other is a fixed, two pressure machine.
